We checked in for just the night and were really late getting off the ferry, which wasn’t a problem when we got in touch with them. We also left very early so don’t know much about the rest of the facilities. Had a small carpark out the back. Good communicators.

Enjoyed a lovely walk around Picton and along the coastline. Did a fabulous half day morning boat trip cruising around Charlotte Sound which was great, and ate dinner at the Oxley Hotel, also very good.

Charming waterfront and very child friendly.
Charming waterfront and very child friendly. The pirate boat play area and splash pad is so nice for the little ones. We only walked around the centre up to the walkway bridge which present a marvelous view. As we are not trekkers, we only passed by Picton to proceed to Nelson from Wellington, and as overnight stop for the Interisland ferry back. There were many road closures when we visited. Perhaps next time, we will explore the surrounds.

A lovely little town with some fabulous walks.
A lovely little town with some fabulous walks. Stay a couple of days after getting off the ferry instead of just driving through. ( Although a little busy when a cruise ship arrived in port, but they are not there every day!)

we were only there overnight, we took an early morning Ferry. the motel was in a great location, we could walk around town and to our restaurant for an evening meal. the reception Lady was wonderfully helpful
The property was very close to the main streets. There were lots of eateries just around the corner from the hotel in easy walking distance. It was a 5 minute walk to the train station and the ferry terminal. Very close to the Picton foreshore as well. Staff were very friendly and had our room ready to check in when. We arrived.off the ferry earlier than stated. They were happy.to hold our luggage as well if we had to wait for check-in.
Very nice motel that was warm, spacious and clean and had everything we needed for an overnight stay. With 2 family groups. Over the road from supermarket and cafes and great value for money. Always enjoy staying in Picton. would definitely recommend and stay again- thank you!
Central Location
Easy access to Picton town facilities, restaurants, hotels
Close to ferry terminal for access to North Island
Comfortable room
Car park outside front door
light airy room with wide opening sliding doors to grassed patio and pool area.
The part of the hotel we saw was very beautiful and clean. We had a room with a shared bathroom, which was always clean as well. We checked in via late check-in since we arrived with the ferry around midnight, and that worked perfectly! :)
The hotel is lovely with the most wonderful views of the harbour and mountains. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the location is excellent and very easy to find.
