Ocean Breeze Resort Pauanui, hotel in Pauanui

Just a minutes’ walk from the golden sands of Pauanui Beach, Ocean Breeze Resort boasts a seasonal outdoor pool and a steamy hot tub.

Great facilities in the apartments and felt like home. It was also a good place to get a couple of apartments for a family gathering. Lovely to sit in the sun on decking overlooking the pool and the beautiful gardens. Good internal car parking garage. Very welcoming by the hosts. A quick stroll to the beautiful beach and short drive to the shops. Excellent place to stay.

The location was great and easy to access the beach. Our weekend weather however was not helpful as it rained most of the time we were there. The home was tidy and provided all the required needs for us. Would gladly stay here again

Tairua Shores Motel, hotel in Pauanui

Tairua Shores Motel enjoys a harbourside location close to the Tairua Wharf, and it takes 2 minutes to drive to the town center or a 10-minute beach walk overlooking Mt Paku and Tairua Harbour.

Check was pleasant as the lady (whos name I did not ask unfortunately) was very warm and welcoming. The room I stayed in was so clean and well kept. The room was the first one with the harbour view and was perfect. Will definitely visit again and stay more then 1 night.

Paku Palms, hotel in Pauanui

Paku Palms offers a boutique apartment and bed and breakfast suite with contemporary furnishings.

Excellent provision of cold breakfast foods - no readily available cooking ability/stove, but microwave and toaster were sufficient. The multi-level outdoor jacuzzi and garden with seating and views was a bonus, as was the view of the ocean tides below. The owner provided all amenities to be found in the finest hotels - first class - and the garden was adorned with many tasteful ornaments.

REally like this place, would like to have spent more time here as there was more tourist thing to do here than at Whitanga. Nice flat area for walking, good cafe and friendly people. Nice beach areas.

I’m a body boarder and I loved being so close to a great beach. There is a nice cafe beside the takeaway shop. Good to have a Supervalue. Meal at JKs one night. Lovely staff and delicious food. Others had told us it was really posh and we could see that it has lots of expensive houses on the beachfront and over on the mountain in Tairua but also lots of less flashy houses and everyone we met was really friendly. Would definitely visit again if we’re up that way.

    Great for relaxation, mainly summertime.

Great for relaxation, mainly summertime. Had no options after hours for supplies tho ie supermarket, dairy, etc. There were a couple of restaurants to choose from. Cabana was very tasty, good service, and the staff were absolutely wonderful - offered us water and milk to take back to our accommodation as everywhere else was closed for the night. You could easily pushbike around and the beach was nice. We stayed one night and that was plenty for us.

The road is very winding which can be a bit of a struggle for those who experience travel sickness but the destination is worth it. Beautiful scenery, fantastic beach, small quaint shopping area where you can even buy swimming apparel if you have forgotten yours. Great if you are into swimming, hiking, biking or just relaxing!

The town is a beautiful little place that has everything you would need. It is peaceful and appears prosperous. It is however very quiet and people looking for more adventure will be driving to get it. On the plus side, Pauanui is situated in a point on the Coromandel that makes it easy to get everywhere.

We spent all our time at The beach which is beautiful and our fav place to hang plus everyone we walked pass always said hello. Contemplating on buying property here within the next year as I like to call Pauanui a second home for us.

Women who met us and explained everything to us was friendly and informative. She helped to make our stay enjoyable. Apartment was clean, with good facilities and very well located near the seafront especially for the start of the Pauanui half-marathon and 10k which started about 100m form the apartment. Good secure parking in the underground garage.

We loved our stay at the Pauanui Pines! Carol was a lovely host, the pool is great and kept very clean. Overall a lovely motor lodge and accommodation. The trump card is the proximity to the shopping center and restaurants. It's only a stones throw away and the kids were able to scooter over and get supplies.

We had a great time at Ocean Beach resort. The location, just a short walk from Pauanui Beach was brilliant so early morning walks along the beach were very easy. The apartment was a good size, comfortable and tastefully decorated with all amenities provided.
