It was our last night in the fjordland area before traveling to Queenstown and ending our 2 weeks in New Zealand. We wanted to be in a remote southern location and the Cliffs was a perfect choice. The views and location to the sea was exactly what we wanted. Be sure to visit the beach nearby. Our hosts were friendly, informative and very responsive to our questions. We enjoyed meeting them very much. We have great memories of the Cliffs.

The innkeepers were Ton and his lovely wife Larissa. They could not have been more welcoming and charming. Ton gave us an upgraded room with a beautiful pastoral view looking out to the Southern Ocean. the room was well constructed and well appointed. Larissa runs a beautiful little cafe right on the property....alas, we made the mistake of running into town for supper; we most definitely should have eaten right there.

Awesome stay at Tui Base Camp. Really friendly and accomodating staff as we rolled in late following a road closure. I was in a bunk which was comfy! The kitchen and bathroom facilities were clean and well stocked. The shower pressure was the best. PERIOD. great location to the Four Square for supplies and to the start of the Hump Ridge Track. THANKS
