Very welcoming hosts, great breakfast and a suprise dinner potluck with the hosts and other guests. The walk with Peter up to the Toktoka Lookout was fantastic and well worth the effort.

Quiet rural location relatively close to small town with good shops and excellent eateries and to a sandy beach. Room was nicely furnished and finished with excellent bed and good blackout curtains. Large freestanding bath. Plenty of scented candles provided and a good continental breakfast.

Plenty of space to relax. Very well tended garden at rear which created a peaceful atmosphere.
Good central location. We explored the Wetland and used it as home base to explore Pouto Beach and the Beaches along the west coast beyond Dargaville, including the Pouto Lighthouse, Glinks Gully and Baylys Beach. There might be places closer to the west coast, but we booked spontaneously and Paparoa is only a short 45min drive away from Dargaville. The Kauri Museum is just around the corner, too.
