The staff were welcoming and very helpful and the bar snack just hit the spot so did the cold beer. Had a lovely couple of hours in the bar and was made to feel quite welcome. Thankyou.

We had a particular reason to be in Palmerston North with the Speedway Team Champs on the main reason for our visit. Plenty to see, beautiful gardens and lots of eating places and socialising. Very easy to get around. Enjoyed Daytona with the Go Karting, always a hit with the lads of all ages.

The Esplanade is a great place to relax, enjoy a train ride, and have a nice dinner or lunch. The Lido has a range of swimming activities to entertain all ages. The Christmas lights on Apollo Road were beautiful, lighting up the streets with a festive glow. We ended our trip with a fantastic New Year's Eve at The Square—a lively atmosphere, great music, and a happy crowd. There was always something to do in Palmerston North, a great family place.

Shopping centre is good, lots of choice and really easy to get around. We spent two mornings wandering around Victoria Esplanade Park with the Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre a highlight. Fantastic park, so lovely to walk around - really well kept. Lots of restaurants and cafes - we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the weather was perfect.

The Wilde horses were a little unsettling, but the free potatoes upon entry were most holsome.
Whomever hired the town cryer, amusingly going by the name of Ken Cryer was an inspired choice.
May I suggest that Palmerston North, petition Palmerston to swap names, so that that the southern town is called Palmerston South.

Breakfast was a continental of generous proportion. Loved the home made marmalade. I especially like the fine attention to detail of little things like fresh flowers in the room. These people try hard, and succeed, in making their guests comfortable and cared for. Fine linen too. The experience has aroha that you will not find in motels and hotels. Trade a plastic motel experience for the real hospitality deal. Highly recommended.
