The property was beautiful and made for a wonderfully relaxing getaway. It’s been created with all of the best details kept in mind - you’re able to sit on the bed with the balcony door open, watching the birds fly around outside. There was good temperature control inside the room as well, so it wasn’t too hot during the hot Summer weather.
We took full advantage of the nice setup, enjoying the provided coffee and muesli in the morning.

The location is very pretty and quiet within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants and beach. The property has been recently refurbished to a very high standard so the rooms are bright and comfortable with great facilities.
I would highly recommend staying at Waters Edge. It was amazing to wake up each day to the view of the water and the sound of the birds. The home is a short walk along the track to Opua marina area. I believe that you can also walk the same track to Paihia although we ran out of time to do this. A close car ride to Paihia. There are plenty of tourist attractions to see.

It is an awesome appartement combined with a 5 Star Hotel service provided by Wendy, the very kind and helpful host.
Wonderful view from the big terrace to the Bay of Islands.
Excellent daily breakfast provided, including freshly baked bread/croissants, fesh fruits and yoghurt every morning.
Modern kitchen with a Nespresso machine.

Beautifully situated over the water at Opua, the veranda views are unsurpassed. Our hosts were fantastic and very accommodating. They have considered every need in setting up the unit. The sounds of water lapping under foot lull you to sleep.
It was such a lovely place, Paihia and Opua where so close, whilst at location you feel like you are in the middle of no where. Waking up feeling you are part of nature! I would Recommended everyone to stay there!
