Not sure why this place gets bad reviews. Based on my experience it was great. 4 of us stayed in the Bellbird Cottage. Clean, well-equipped, spacious and quiet. Had a beer in the pleasant beer garden too.

Peaceful, private and comfortable accommodation with parking in a stunning rural location. It has everything provided in a small self contained kitchen and separate bathroom. The WiFi here is great, no issues at all and a welcome break from technology because phone signal is weaker as it is in a rural location. I don’t understand why other guests have rated poorly for wifi - this is misleading and one cannot expect excellent phone reception when visiting remote areas. Enjoy the peace and take a break from your phone. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Travellers just need to be aware that Niagara Falls is a joke, but it is a lovely place to stay. Possibly, Curio Bay around the corner would be a more spectacular place to stay, but Niagara is only a short driving distance away.
We used Niagara as our base to get to Invercargill, after travelling from Dunedin. We spend a day visiting Mclean falls, unfortunately Cathedral Cave was closed.

I only recorded the address which was rejected by the sat...
I only recorded the address which was rejected by the sat nav on my car. After travelling all the way to Niagara we were advised that the address was about 6km back at Waikawa. Tried to phone the owner and requested to leave a message which I didn't do! By the time received a return response we were at the accommodation.

Beautiful location. Fabulous house. Great attention to detail! Wish we could have stayed MUCH longer. We ate at the Niagara Falls Cafe and met local folks at the annual art festival just across the road.
