A beautiful setting with picturesque gardens and exceptionally well equipped and comfortable interiors. It was a wrench to prise ourselves away after 2 nights of tranquil bliss. I particularly enjoyed cooking, which is often difficult and stressful on holiday as so many utensils and ingredients are unavailable. Not at Leader Valley, the kitchen is possibly better equipped than my own!

What a wonderful location for our first evening in New Zealand. The Country House has the most stunning views, and we were very sad that we could only stay for one night. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated, and the gardens a blaze of colour, a delightful place to recuperate after our long haul flight from Singapore.
Huge praise and thanks to our hosts, Gary and Robert, for the very warm welcome into their comfortable relaxing home and the most delicious breakfast the next morning. A perfect start to our holiday.
