Martinborough has so much to offer in a relatively small area. There is always something going on there. The cruise classic cars was excellent and the restaurants are great, not to mention the wineries.

Mainly popular as a winery region, it has several cellar door businesses as well as really good restaurants. The town is small and can get very overcrowded on weekends. Easy to walk around and browse in off-peak periods. We hiked a short trail in the area. It was very peaceful and went through several farms. Only 4km in length so no fitness challenge.

Martinborough is such a lovely town.

Martinborough is such a lovely town. Cafes for brunch, pizzas for kids lunch, vineyards and walks. I mean, lovely! Even though it rained 3 days out of our 5! Didn't matter. There is always something to do in Martinborough.

The location was great the cafes and bars great.

The location was great the cafes and bars great. Lovely people. Only disappointment was the state of our accommodation. Shame as we have spent time in martinborough in the past with great accommodation. Couldn't enjoy being outdoors as furniture wasn't appropriate to relax on. Great apricots 👍.

A great place for the different styles of wines on offer...

A great place for the different styles of wines on offer from the large number of wineries in the town. We visited Margrain, Cambridge Road, Muirlea Rise wineries on foot on day 1 and Moy Hall and Colombo wineries on day 2 during our visit. All offering a different experience with knowledgeable and entertaining staff. We had lunch at Margrain and Colombo - both excellent. Excellent Thai food & gin selection at Tohi Gin Room & Eatery. We are looking forward to a return visit sometime soon. The area is a also Dark Sky Reserve but was too cloudy to see the night sky in detail.
