The cottage is gorgeous and very comfortable. Clean and spacious. The location is also excellent to use as a base to explore or to spend time in Mapua. The wharf is a short walk where there are restaurants and shops.

Perfect stay and property with a beautiful garden. Really calm and relaxing.
The room is perfect. Very modern and well decorated. Each detail was thought about. Nicky is an incredible host. The breakfast with freshly made products was excellent.
We wish we would have stayed longer. We will surely come back.
We enjoyed the local restaurants .The fish and chips at the smoke house were delicious,as was the smoked snapper we took back to our lovely accomodation.The meal and customer service we experienced at Mapua India Eatery was first class.A great spot to base your self,as you are close to many locations

A great spot away from the hustle of the city. The apartments are right next to the Wharfside shops and eateries ( highly recommend the fish and chip shop for yummy fresh gurnard meal - much cheaper than the restaurants.) Convenience store not far away. Would definitely come back again.

Our stay was outside Christmas, New Year and school holidays, so quiet.
Had no issues getting meals at Mapua Wharf, plenty to choose from.
Great base for Golden Bay and Nelson.
Love taking the ferry to Rabbit Island and biking.

I have stayed in Mapua many times while holidaying in the region. Its a perfect spot if you don't want to be in the more metropolitan Nelson/Richmond areas but still have all the facilities at hand that you want on a holiday - restaurants, cafes, shops, pub, supermarket, petrol etc etc while still only being half an hour away from Nelson etc

The history of the property and meeting the proprietor - we have one of her ceramic works of art in our home and it was great to meet her again and see she still has many pieces of art around the property. Also the location is superb in terms of being able to walk down to the wharf, have a coffee or a meal and enjoy the quaintness of Mapua.
Very quiet and peaceful location with only 6 huts made for a relaxing environment. It was the perfect escape from the busy towns at the end of the day, while being only about 20 minutes away from Nelson. The huts are such a cool concept, beats a hotel room any day of the week!
The property is very close to Mapua Wharf with lots of options for dining and activities. 300m down the hill to a Four Square, Bakery, Coffee and a Pub.
