Such an awesome spot, right in KeriKeri but nicely tucked away. Pool was great, kids loved it. Everything was clean and we had the residing cat John hang with us which we loved.

Kerikeri is a very pretty area close to many places in the Bay of Islands. Great for hiking or walking very friendly people. It’s a peaceful and quite but has good food and drinking spots, check reviews of eateries for one that suits your taste. For a central point to travel around its very good. It’s easy to hire a car at Kerikeri airport.

Was very impressed with our delightful, knowledgeable guide who told us about the Stone Store and Kemp home. The surrounding gardens are a story on their own with rose bushes and fruit trees almost 200 years old! Would recommend this as a learning experience for New Zealanders as well as overseas visitors.

Te Whare Ma was a wonderful place to stay.

Te Whare Ma was a wonderful place to stay. Waitangi , and the tour well worth the $. Delicious lunch at Marsden estate, and very friendly experienced staff. The Stone store and oldest house in NZ next door excellent. There is a market Saturday and Sunday opposite Makana chocolate. Very good artists and crafts people , and an excellent singer.

We were greeted with a warm welcome, shown around and just given total freedom to relax and enjoy our stay. The facilities were clean, the room was elegant yet simple and we will never forget how great the spa and sauna were! We loved it so much and if we ever stay in Kerikeri again it will be at the Avalon Resort!! Thank you ❤️
