Really tidy and spacious for my short trip. Close access to the beach and the pool and spa facilities were nice to use as well.
This was my third stay at Talisman during last few months.
This was my third stay at Talisman during last few months. Big carpark. A very short walk to Katikatii Arts Hub for Kati Folk Club monthly show. Went to Robert Harris in main street for 7am breakfast next morning.

We only stayed one night visiting family but we liked what we saw. We have been to Katikati before and there is much to see and do. Great variety of shops - op shops, pottery, art gallery and of course the cycle way. Clean and tidy town.

The hotel was very clean and tidy especially the bathroom.
We went to the dining room to have dinner and the place was packed out and we were going to have to wait about 30 minutes for a pizza and my brother decided not to eat at the and went back to his room and the staff got miffed with me and said they wanted the money for the meal and room. I said I just wanted to pay for the meal and we would pay for the room the next day. My waitress treated me like a 2nd class person, I felt uncomfortable around the lady. The next day we went back and ordered a pizza and it was lovely and the waitress was much nicer.

I liked how peaceful and spaced out the town was.
I liked how peaceful and spaced out the town was. Not a lot going on but activities includes, great deal for avocados, bookstore by Ti Tree, cute little bakery and cafe spots, pottery, bird gardens, train tracks/historic mine area, museum and murals. Very scenic with hidden restaurants like Falls Retreat - provided you have a booking beforehand as they usually have booked out tables. Waihi beach and the fish and chip store is a classic for a beach day - tip: order the food from the store first and then go in the water as wait times are 30-50mins due to busy-ness. Easy to get around town by car.

Katikati is a friendly town close to bush walks, beaches and Tauranga. There are some lovely places to stay and eat and the locals are helpful.
SH 2 is a pain and getting in to Tauranga can be frustrating.

Priced so well, staff are great, location - close to Katikati and Kauri walk, within a beautiful natural setting, peaceful, pools and private spas are awesome. A therapeutic place to stay, at an incredible budget price. Hope Sapphire Springs Holiday Park is around forever.
Beautiful environment. Well-designed layout and lovely interior. Thoughtful touches. Delicious fresh eggs and quality bacon plus home-made bread for breakfast. Welcoming and friendly host. Very close proximity to Katikati.
The hotel was a real surprise
