Location of the property with supermarket and eateries close by. As there were road works on the street, there were limited car parks however the hotel provided free parking by collarorating with Wilson.

Loved our deluxe room! clean and had everything we needed. Bed was great, shower was awesome, toiletries provided were high quality. Nespresso was fantastic. Washing machine and drier a very handy added bonus. Room was spacious. We have zero complaints. We’ve stayed at 10+ hotels in the last 6 months and this had by far the most helpful front desk staff - in fact some of the most helpful we’ve ever experienced. The lady we had at check in was fabulous as was the next lady we had when checking out. Cannot fault our stay here and would stay again and again !

A very pleasant city to visit.
A very pleasant city to visit. The inspiring story of Burt Munro's glorious achievements took us to the Gardens and E. Hayes hardware store. This is a 'must' do! We visited the IC shopping centre where we enjoyed the perfect coffee and lunch at the Majestic Café. The city is a great location to explore places like Stewart Island, Bluff and the Catlins.

Father travelling with teenage son for short holiday.
Father travelling with teenage son for short holiday. We enjoyed the transport and motorcycle museums, inspired by Burt Munro and "The World's Fastest Indian". We made excursions to Stewart Island. The Catlins, Slope Point and others. Everyone super friendly. Small town charm without being too small.

We needed a few more days to look around.
We needed a few more days to look around. We couldn't get accommodation in Queenstown so we spent 2 days driving back to Milford Sound and Queenstown, which meant we couldn't have a good look around Invercargill.

We just stay at invercargil for one night.
We just stay at invercargil for one night. We arrived there around 4 pm. So, we just went to botanical garden and sunset at bluff. I really love botanical garden (we spent 1 hour there but it's not enough). There are a lot of small garden (chinese, japanese, rose / but we don't have enough time to visit all of it).
at evening, we went to bluff for sunset. it's quite place but very beautiful,
We went out to Dunedin in early morning. So, that's all we can do :(
Anyway, there are a lot of place to see sea lion and penguin on the way to Dunedin, we absolutely enjoy!

As we have stayed before this Ascot Park Hotel is a favourite for our visits to Invercargill to see very close friends!! Cannot fault this hotel at all! All staff and meals and room service is great !We opted for a motel room with kitchenette and it was great to be able to be self sufficient for our breakfast with plenty of room and often enjoyed pool table and meals in Sports Bar.
Absolutely adored my stay here!!! It felt like my home away from home and would be back in a heart beat!! Merlyn was a fantastic host and more than welcoming, not to mention her gardens are breath taking!! Please if you're heading Invercargill way, definitely stay here!!!
Arriving into Invercargill from Mount Cook The Langlands Hotel was perfectly easy to locate. Upon arrival I was greeted with valet parking and concierge service, neither expected but greatly appreciated. The view of Invercargill from the room at night was simply stunning.
Nice up-dated units which were quite comfortable. Reasonable charges, rooms were serviced well daily. Good sized wardrobe and lovely to see a hand towel provided for the kitchen as well as the bathroom! Something that a lot of motels neglect to do!
