Service when arriving for dinner in particular but also for breakfast was below par. Think it was a staffing issue but when NO acknowledgement given by evening staff for an unreasonable time THEN a rude comment by the older waiter made me nearly want to find alternative dining option. Once seated, lovely waitress & beautiful seafood platter meal. Breakfast was pretty average & dont rate fried bread constant w food. Optional choice better-fried bread a niche taste

Everything was perfect. Bob and Lynn, owners of the motel, were excellent in accommodating all our needs. Lynn helped us with our heavy luggage, and Bob allowed us to check out two hours later than the predetermined 10am, as we were leaving Paihia later in the day. Bob also gave us some very good recommendations about where to have dinner at Russell. Dear Bob and Lynn, Thank you very much for the excellent service. We highly recommend this motel for anyone visiting the magical Bay of Islands.

This was a lovely place to stay. We were warmly welcomed by our hosts and everything we needed was provided. It was a real treat to stay here.
We visited the Treaty Grounds, just down the road for a cultural and historical education. We hiked to waterfalls and mangrove forests. We caught the car ferry and visited Russell on the coast.
