My husband and I had an amazing stay at the studio! Everything about the place was perfect—from the location to the hosts, facilities, cleanliness, and overall comfort. It truly had everything you could need while away from home. There is a folder filled with information about the local area and eateries which was really handy. The backyard area is a lovely space to relax in the afternoon and evening, sipping drinks and enjoying some nibbles. It's hard to imagine a better spot to stay, I can't recommend this place enough! We will definitely be returning, can't wait!! A big thank you to Mandy for having us and being such a great host 😊

Beautiful property with amazing views - really comfortable beds and well thought out units. Norma and Al are wonderful hosts and nothing is too much trouble.

It's a lovely beachside area with relatively calm waters. Would be good to base yourself here for a few days to explore the surrounding area. Only about a 90minute drive to Cape Reinga.
November is still a little too cold in the water for a Queensland bloke to swim.

Doubtless Bay is a great place and reflects the true heart of New Zealand as one of the best holiday locations in the South Pacific. The waters are warm and the golden beaches are always inviting.
The supermarket at Coopers Beach is superb for range of products and good wines.
Thai Restaurant in Mangonui is, in our humble opinion, offers some of the best food and wine in the North and the Green Curry Chicken is the best tasted in a long time.
In summation one of the best short breaks we have had for quite a while and the waves breaking will give you a great nights sleep!

We rented 2 appartments the periwinkle was adequate and what we expected. The Cockle was a disappointment as it was advertised on their website as air conditioned and there was no air conditioning. It was so hot and our guests in Cockle were uncomfortable and upset.
The owner didn’t care and said it was a buget apartment but we rented it in good faith as it was listed as air con etc.
I emailed and messaged her throughout our 4 day stay and she never apologised or compensated us .

Fabulous location, dog friendly, clean room with essentials, friendly staff. Would definitely visit again. If you enjoy beach walks and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean this a a perfect spot.

The Hosts/workers were very welcoming and helpful, The accommodation was comfortable and clean which is always a plus for us.
We needed to add an extra child to our booking which was no problem at all. the grandkids loved being right on the beach and we had no trouble keeping an eye on them. Not being a dog owner this is one thing we all enjoyed having dogs with their owners there some wonderful patting sessions for the kids, who dont have dogs in their lives either. All round great holiday.

The view (we got lovely sunsets), the palm tree vibe, the modern style and layout of the apartment, the outdoor seating was great, kitchen facilities (nespresso coffee, good size fridge feezer, convenient portable cooktop), carparking right outside, availabilty of kayak to use, located very close walking access to Coopers Beach and only a two minutes drive to the top of the local pa to enjoy the best panoramic view of Doubtless Bay. We loved our stay and our cohost was wonderful.
Arrived for an unveiling was coming up on my own but decided to bring my family for a long weekend holiday

I wept with happiness upon entering my room. A beautiful double bed, two comfortable chairs mounted TV and a kitchenette greeted me.
The bathroom was just right. Everything you needed. Plus, a short walk and you're on the beautiful Coopers Beach.
