Sarah met us and was incredibly warm and friendly. She showed us around the property which was tastefully decorated and immaculately clean and welcoming. We even had a huge breakfast box delivered to our room in the morning which was great!

Lovely hosts, couldn't be more accommodating and even showed us the local gloworms. Had a lovely sunset by the beach and got some great recommendations for the rest of our trip and a delicious breakfast. I only wish we could have spent more time here.

The owners organised and let us know how to access the cottage. They were the most amazing hosts, as our eldest son became quite unwell and they allowed us extra time to stay so he could recover and allow us to continue travelling.

Not much to say only there for one night during road trip with family. Spent little time at location
Location and completely and excellently equipped facility.

This isn’t Charleston, only as crow flies nearest town by road is Westport. Go to Cape Foulwind following seal colony signs and when you hit the sea and right is to the seals…. Turn left and follow Okari road for the full length beyond tarmac on to gravel stretch and Linga Longa is there at the end of the bay. Wonderful place for a relaxing, private, perfect West Coast experience. We prepared food rather than drive to eat out. Complete kitchen and BBQ etc. and views to please the eye.

I wanted a cheap overnight stay close to my route, more comfortable than sleeping in the car. This was perfect. Very basic cabin with a bed, table and chairs. Toilet and showers were shared but clean and close.
There is a tavern 5 minute walk away for lunch and evening meal. I had breakfast in West port a 30 minute drive away as I was on the road early.

We look forward to seeing the refurbished pub open soon for meal options in Charleston. 20 min to nearest shops and Cafe, restaurants in Westport. Very picturesque. We 4ecommend the Nile walk and checking out the history of the area and a visit to Cape Foulwind and Denniston. The Buller gorge drive is spectacular as well.

Charming Charleston: Our host Fiona could not have been friendlier or more helpful. There are two small but gorgeous bays over the road from the lodge and there's a swimming bay within walking distance. The tavern next door provided tasty food & excellent music. Great to have a separate room in a motel unit and we appreciated the outdoor seating area. Comfy beds and very clean. Great value for money.
It is conveniently located when the bike trail is finished from Westport to Charleston. It is almost done, delayed by a farmer who is denying access over his property. It is a beautiful trail and well worth the return ride from Westport. It has a tavern next door with good food and atmosphere.
The location is absolutely superb, set in a lush bush area about halfway between Westport and Charleston. In spite of being "off grid", the place does not scrimp on conveniences like a full kitchen and BBQ. The wood-burning stove was a nice touch during a chilly and rainy evening.
Wonderful getaway to Charleston. Sarah has thought of everything to make this a home away from home.
Exceptional breakfast accommodating for all dietary requirements. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and couldn’t recommend more.
Room was basic but clean and comfortable. Nice peaceful location and handy for lovely secluded beach a short walk away which was great as pretty much nothing else to do in Charleston itself.
