The sauna was amazing, reached 90 degrees, was amazing. Outdoor shower. The bed was incredible comfortable. The decoration of the rooms and how it was all set up, felt like home right away! Dogs that greeted us on arrival. Owners super friendly.

Excellent hosts with a wonderful farming operation. Excellent living quarters and well maintained. We can't say enough great things about this place; wonderful hosts, cute farm animals, and immaculate views!
The property offers free private parking. This air-conditioned 5-bedroom vacation home comes with a seating area, a cable flat-screen TV, and a fully equipped kitchen with a dishwasher.

Lovely little town!
Lovely little town! Well worth spending a day or two to check out all the natural attractions. The beaches in particular were rugged and secluded but relatively accessible. Would love to see it in the summer time!!

Balclutha is hardly a much sought destination but it is in a prime location to base yourself as you visit the Catlins and the ample attractions on its door step. The river in particular is underrated and provides great fishing and kayaking. The town itself sports most of the shops you expect as well as a supermarket and some great eateries. The hi-light of my trip was definitely staying at the historic Fern & Thistle which is just out of town and is definitely the hidden gem of Clutha.

Gorgeous vistas in the rural area, reminiscent of Lord of the Rings scenes. The locals are friendly and this is a nice place to stop when travelling. Highlights are the Bridge, walks along the Clutha River, and the rural views. The Raj Indian restaurant was really delicious, and the best coffee and cheese rolls are at Rosebank Cafe, south end of town.

Cant tell you how much we loved our stay here. Owners were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. Facilities were superb, we had stayed at some rather uncomfortable places on our trip and were in heaven!
Balclutha does not really have a lot of sights to see but was well located at the end of our Catlins tour.
Found this jewel at the last minute as we were driving into Balclutha. Separate rental on private property, very clean, comfortable and modern. The owner was lovely and accommodating. Highly recommend as an overnighter or for a couple of days.
The rooms were very well appointed, our hosts wonderfully attentive, and everything beautifully clean. Impressive attention to detail and great value for money - all within minutes of the charming Balclutha township.
