Our stay in Nagarkot was a complete success. The accommodation is beautifully located and the family is incredibly nice, hospitable and helpful. Our host provided us with Komoot maps for the hikes in Nagarkot, which was super helpful for the best possible hiking experience.
The hotel has its own restaurant. The dishes are a mix of traditional Nepalese dishes and international food. Everything is freshly prepared and super tasty.
About the rooms: they are equipped with the essentials. The beds are very soft and comfortable. There is also hot (really hot, not just warm) water. We also had a super nice view over the valley.

The town itself is small and very local. We came to Nagarkot to hike, enjoy nature and get away from the noise of Kathmandu. We ate meals at The Fort. We walked into town to view the sunset but spent no time there other than watching the sunset.

The hotel and grounds are lovely, with beautiful views of the Himalayas in the early morning. However the property is somewhat isolated, being located all by itself on the mountainside. So there is nothing much to do there and nowhere really to walk to (Nagarkot not being much of a town to begin with)
Also the swimming pool and hot tub is indoors in a rather unpleasant, humid, glass-encased room. It is also an odd shape, so as to interfere with lap swimming,

I stayed in the Hotel Prem Durbar Hotel & Nagarkot Zipline. The hotel has excellent location. I was given a room with an excellent City view especially during night. The Front Office Manager Mr. Santosh Timilsina was very friendly, warm and exceedingly helpful. I enjoyed my short stay there.
Service, staff, rooms, view, Spa facilities, restaurant & bar, round the clock service was all Very Good. The property despite its terrain has been designed in a very user friendly way.
Suggest you go in a group of at least 4-6 persons. or it can get boring. Not much to do around except trekking trails and long walks and yoga in the park. One can visit the city of Kathmandu and Pashupatinath temple. But if you are alone or a couple it can get a little lonesome. Excelent venue to get away from the madding crowd.

The place is located at 10 minutes walking distance from Nagarkot center and is right on the path to a hidden viewpoint that is amazing. The location is therefore quiet and in nature with excellent views on the mountains, especially at sunrise. The restaurant of the hotel is superb. We ate one of our best Neaplese meals right here. The owner and all the staff are super kind and helpful and they speak good English.
Exceptional service from staff and location of the hotel.. had a wonderful sunrise right from the room. Breakfast served with an combination of both Nepalese and western cuisine.. facilities were exceptionally well managed and even had warmers around the lobby and balcony areas to enjoy the old weather. Would definitely visit again in future.
The location is great, very close to the bus station and some good cafe and restaurant.
