Our guide's expertise and passion for the wildlife brought the jungle to life. We had the incredible luck of spotting a majestic tiger, along with rhinos, elephants, and countless bird species. The guide’s knowledge, combined with his deep understanding of the park, made this an informative and exciting journey through Bardia’s wilderness. The resort’s commitment to providing an authentic connection to the local culture, as well as its integration into the heart of the village, made our stay unique. Experiencing the Tharu culture up close, along with the amazing wildlife sightings, was truly a one-of-a-kind adventure. An authentic gem on the edge of Bardia National Park! The staff of this family-run lodge is very friendly and welcoming, the food is delicious and based on the vegetables they grow in their own garden, and it is very well located in a quiet area. Anil, who speaks English, French and Hindi, even helped me organise two safari days in the jungle. I really recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and affordable place to stay close to Bardia National Park.

It’s a family run business and the owner Rajan (Former Wildlife Guide for Prince Harry and Hilary Clinton) and his brother in law Mahindra have given me the best possible experience in the jungle (both have over 30 years of experience)! Both are the loveliest/friendliest people you’ll ever meet! Rajan’s spoken english is excellent! I did two walking tours and one Jeep safari, both were one in a lifetime experiences. I always felt safe and properly guided. The rooms in the Lodge are beautiful and spacious. The shower has great pressure and was always hot! After a long day in the jungle the fireplace in the reception hall was already crackling and I got welcomed back with a hot tea or cold beer! All the meals are homemade by Rajan‘s wife and were always delicious! 10/10 stars, I highly recommend staying at Mango Tree Lodge!

Shardul and Ankita (and others as well) were very helpful and friendly. It is a good place to combine relax with jungle explorations: one day you explore and get impressions (and Shardul will definitely help you to see tigers and other animals), another day you just sit on a terrace relaxing and go for breakfast/lunch/dinner from time to time. Then you can repeat :-) The hosts will help you with everything you want.
