These little cottages are perfect! They have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The view and location are excellent. We really appreciated having a stocked kitchen so we could cook. We liked it so much we stayed again on our way back through the area.

Splendid property, decorated so tastefully and very comfortable. The host's attention to details ensured a very welcoming and homey stay! The kitchen was well equipped! The beds were very comfortable with flannel sheets and duvet - so cozy! Helpful to have a washing machine and there was a sauna too, but we did not use it. So beautiful we would have loved to stay longer!

We did not stay during ski season which is when this area very obviously does most of its business, but the area was lovely, the staff was great and the meals were delicious!

I saw that someone wrote about road noise and soundproofing. We slept with our windows open. There's no road noise at night, and the other guests were quiet at night. Since that is when one wants quiet to sleep, I would not make that a complaint. The Hotel is old and historic and an incredible find. I personally did not hear other guests at any time. I could hear traffic (what little there was as this is Vang, not Oslo) occasionally during the day but I'm not in my room to sleep while the sun is shining and there are mountains to hike, hills to climb, lakes to refresh in before the sauna experience (which, by the way, includes a large picture window so that we relax while gazing at this spectacular view), wine to sip in the sun room, and a stroll into town.
