In every review there should be something positive and something negative. So, let’s get the negative out of the way first: the only thing we found unpleasant in this house was, that we only stayed for one night!
Now the positive(s !!): Friendliness of the hostess 11 out of 10. Facilities and standard of the house excellent!!! Everything is freshly renovated and the standard is way… way above average, putting it modestly.
To put this review in perspective we stayed in several 4 & 5 star hotels during our road trip throughout Norway, this is better - 5-star superior in our opinion! You can park the car figuratively in the front door! Only 1 meter!
The highlight is the newly build, spacious terrace with a view which is so fabulous that it makes you forget time. One thing you should bring with you for this terrace is a sturdy supply of wine, red or white is up to you ;-)
Fazit: We enjoyed our stopover tremendously!!!

When you are visiting Geiranger, you need to reach Stranda through a ferry and the times for the ferry are not good. They have a ferry once a hour in the evenings and you will end up wait for an hour sometimes when you miss the previous one

For us Stranda was a point of sleeping over, while doing tours in the area. There was 2 options of restaurants, so it was possible to get a dinner. Did not see much of Stranda in daytime - but they perhaps could have done some more of being the city of the Grandiosa Pizza and the well konwn Stranda Ham.

Stranda was my hometown growing up as a kid, so Im biased.
Stranda was my hometown growing up as a kid, so Im biased. Its been many years since I moved from Stranda, but I still come back every year. Stranda is a peaceful place surrounded by some of the most beautiful nature in Norway. If you are seeking a peaceful stay near nature, yet with all the modern facilities and services available, Stranda is the perfect place - summer and winter. During winter you can enjoy skiing at in some of the most spectacular ski slopes in the world. In addition to being worth a visit by itself, Stranda can also serve as a base for excursions to other places like Geiranger, Valldal, Trollstigen, Ålesund etc.

The hotel is very handy laying 'nearby' the Geiranger fjord and the Trollsteigen and could be used to travel on a stop from Geiranger to the Trollsteigen and the Atlantic highway.
It has fine size rooms, with excellent beds and it is all very clean. There was a quite big TV in the room.
The breakfast has a really big choice of items, including a few bread types, pastries and all full English breakfast items.
The wifi was working fine.
A true gem I found while driving through fjords. This is an independent from the main house flat arranged in Scandinavian style. It has all you need plus a view on the river and fjord. I wished I could have stayed here longer.
Stranda is a nice village.

Superb welcome, friendly host, she gave us excellent advices, and the hotel resembles a beautiful farm, all impeccably clean. The bedding is very comfortable.
