Excellent location to start with.
A very smart way to handle keys on arrival, each cottage had a board on which they wrote the total count and name of the main guest. So it did not require any interaction with the owner upon arrival!
Inside they provided their phone number to contact them for anything special you need, so no problem at all.
Very cozy and well eqiupped kitchen upstairs. We missed a microwave though, we are so used to with the gadgets nowadays!
the bedrooms and bathroom were all downstairs, which was a bummer for us as we were with elders with paining legs but otherwise should be fine!
We had bunk beds and a double bed. Of course the double bed was more comfortable but we were prepared for that!
We had a cloudy/rainy day otherwise the garden area is super nice!
The view is to die for, the surroundings is quiet and if you by chance meet anyone they were very polite and frindly!

We stopped here on a drive from Oslo to Ulsteinvik on the coast. The location is perfect to break your journey and the town is charming. The rooms were fabulous — Scandinavian chique — and the kids loved the upper loft area where they slept. The hotel staff was fantastic and were super accommodating. We arrived late and called in advance asking if we could still eat in their award winning restaurant. While we couldn’t have the standard 5 course menu, they kept aside main course and dessert for us. The meal was the best we had in the trip and the service and hospitality was outstanding!

Very quiet environment, far off the main road; fast /easy accessibility: located at the secondary road parallel to and north of the river and the main road between Bismo and Lom. The street numbers (326 Skjak solside) are indicated along this road.
Very warm welcome, extreme friendly and cordial owner and whole staff. Cozy old hotel, partly renovated. Great big Sauna and hot tub, we really enjoyed taking a little wellness break from camping!!! Our dog was also very welcome, we would come back for sure!
Beautifully refurbished cabin on an old farmland property. The apartment is super cozy and Skjåk is a nice area for hiking and other outdoor activities. Last but not least, Amund is a friendly and accommodating host. We can only recommend this place.
Building from the 19th century, very beautiful, decorated with old farm tools, very interesting. Acceptable breakfast. Nice staff. Next to the hotel runs a beautiful river with a lot of flow.
