There were lots of cooking utensils in the kitchen..
the house was adequately clean,but not sparkling clean. Sheets and covers were old and needed to be replaced. Some of the windows up stairs and on the main floor could not be opened.. and surprisingly there was no second fire escape …just the front door.
Rjukan Hytteby is located in the center of Rjukan. There is a restaurant and guests can have fun at the water park.

There was no breakfast. Grocery store provided what we needed to suffice for breakfast. Location was fine for our purposes, liked not being in the center of town.
Rjukan is a small place, so even if the flat has a central location it's very calm and everything is reachable in the town without using the car.
Free parking is a super plus!
As the Norwegian summer can be tricky (= cold), having a great functioning heating was also perfect!
The Rjukan hotel has a very good location for visiting the surrounding attractions, quite close to Krossobanen, Vemork museum and Hardangervidda. Nice, big rooms, good bed/mattress. Slightly old-school bathroom, but still clean and ok. Good breakfast and friendly staff.
We were the only people staying at the hotel. 6 motorcyclists had the place to ourselves excellent as you would expect the service was exceptional with great food both evening meal and breakfast the following day
