The breakfast was excellent. We startet with a la Carte (due to low number of guests) and it changed to buffet breakfast later. Both versions had excellent quality and the portions were more than enough.
The staff ist doing really the best in order to satisfy the guests. Especially the wonderful Japanese lady at the check-in counter was super friendly, she fulfilled every wish we were asking. Absolutely amazing.
Set by the harbour in central Honningsvåg, Scandic Bryggen offers free parking, free WiFi and rooms with a flat-screen TV. The North Cape Museum is a 10-minute walk away.

There is little not to like from this hotel. We spent two days and, because of a severe snowstorm, much of it was inside the hotel. It was very cozy, people were friendly and facilities very good. Breakfast (and the chef that explained everything for us) was amazing.
Can't really find any negatives for this place. The locals are very friendly, the streets are clean, the scenery is stunning and best of all its only about 35 minutes drive to Norkapp. If you are visiting we would 100% recommend booking a trip to Norkapp. Its a fascinating place...the top of Europe!!. We flew in, stayed 3 nights then departed on a fjord cruise. Well worth every penny. We decided to take a walk one morning, its obviously very hilly but not too taxing. Its about 5 miles to completely encircle the town though that did include a few detours for the sake of photos. There is a restaurant close to the Norkapp museum called The Corner. The food, welcome and service were second to none. Totally recommend it to any visitors. Well that's my opinion of Honningsvag, visit yourself and see what you think.

Everyone seems to be profiting from the proximity to Nordkapp, which lowers the overall experience of an otherwise nice town at the edge of Europe. Many cruise ships that dock in the port release heaps of tourists into the town every day, which makes it feel more like a centre of some large city, not a town of 2500 inhabitants.

The road to Honningsvåg is very picturesque in the winter days, especially if there is some light giving everything a bit more mystical glow.
Honningsvåg itself is very small, best to be avoided in the summer when hordes of tourist want to see the sun not set. I would think winter is so much more adventurous and therefore more awarding.

We particularly liked the personnel - kind and helpful.
Our room was on the ground floor, near the reception. Spacious, good internet access and we had the car parked just outside the window. Good and assorted breakfast is served in a large restaurant in the reception area, with large windows and a great view towards the mountains. There is an approximately half an hour drive to the Nordkapp.
Like many guests here, this was a one night stopover on a trip to Nordkapp for us. Although the hotel looks a little dated, the location is great, the facilities adequate to good, the breakfast very good and the staff were exceptionally helpful. It wasn’t expensive though, so overall it was very good value for money.
Perfect price/quality ratio.
Manager (a Finnish guy) was very capable and very friendly.
Best hotel in Honningsvåg by far (which according to the manager is not really that hard ;-) )
