Location. They are worse . I book room without view. They give me room not in the main hotel. They give me room in another small building have 10 rooms. Look like staff rooms . They are raciest. All white people get in a main building.

Lovely breakfast in scenic dining room; our superior room with claw foot tub was wonderful too. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Perfect location from the train and shops.

The staff were helpful. The server for dinner, especially, was wonderful. He kept the food coming at a good pace without hovering or rushing but we never had to wait too long. The room was generally clean. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and adequate. One of the dinners was excellent, the other was just ok.

Positives
The location is around half a mile walk to the Flam train station. Walking up to the house at night is not advisable as there are no street lamps. Bring a flashlight 🔦 with you if you arrive late. Your landmark will be the fall that is right across the house. The house is colored white next to the red house, which is another hostel like accommodation. Leaving the house checkout to the Flam train station, we opted for the shuttle car, which is 75KR per person. We didn't feel like lugging our luggage around. So you do have the option for the car shuttle if you want.
Waterfalls
It is near the waterfalls, which is really nice waking up in the morning and just watching the scenery.
Negative
It would have been nice if they provided coffee or tea.
Overall, it was a comfortable nice accommodation.

Cute little farmhouse turned hostel, very clean with a full kitchen. Rooms were nice and had great views. A little bit of a trek from town center - just something to be aware of! As the house is quite old, the walls are very thin, maybe not so good for a light sleeper.
This family-run hotel is located 328 feet from Aurlandsfjord’s waterfront. It is within 3 minutes’ walk of the Nærøyfjord Ferry Terminal and Aurlandsvangen Bus Stop.

Very clean, and breakfast was delicious! The staff was very friendly and the view of the fjord was amazing! Walking distance to a small grocery store and a Gastropub that had an excellent dinner and bar menu!
Vangsgaarden Gjestgiveri is located in the oldest buildings in the village of Aurland. Located on the shores of Aurlandsfjord, it offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains.

We stayed in a fisherman's hut, right on the water. It was gorgeous. We even got lucky and were able to see the northern lights over the fjord from our little porch. The restaurant and included breakfast were delicious. We would definitely stay here again.
What a beautiful place, right on the Fjord. People were all great. The only problem was the cruise ship that arrived our last day. Way too many people were dumped into this little town. But they said it happens daily during peak season, so the town was prepared. We preferred having it to ourselves!!!!

Flam is not a town in the normal sense.
Flam is not a town in the normal sense. It is a tourist destination to connect travelers to ferries and the train. However, there are hikes and biking trails as well as many fjord trips on offer. We wanted an extra day so that we could get out on the fjord more. We ate at an excellent restaurant at the marina.

If you're not engaging in hikes kayaking or special bike rides, one day sufficient inclusive of doing the Fjord
The Flam railroad is a must...1 hour one way. Can do RT or continue to other destinations.
Beware! If a huge cruise liner pulls in many folks will beb with you for a full day

Nice and wonderful small town with a beautiful fjord.
Nice and wonderful small town with a beautiful fjord. If you are not interested in "long nature walks", 2 days is enough as the town is quite small.
Don't like the big ships coming into Flam as it spoils the scenery.
Scenic rail is a must do and individual bike ride around is also great

Lovely location, friendly staff and very clean.
Lovely location, friendly staff and very clean. We didn't like the location of our room by the noisy kitchen and we didn't like sharing a bathroom with several other rooms - when we booked it stated we would be sharing with just one other room. Expensive for what it was but we understand that the location does command a higher price as it's sought after!

A very comfortable cottage perched on a slope with an excellent view of the mountain ad waterfall from the balcony. It also over looks a flowing stream and the hamlet below. Very picturesque and we spend several hours on the balcony enjoying the view despite the cold. The lady owner was friendly and check-in & check-out was simple. The stay at this cottage was a highlight of our trip to Norway and also a regret - we only stayed one night.
There are just a small selection of accommodation options in Flåm, but most of them are expensive hotels. This hostel offers exceptional value for money in a fairly expensive country. It felt safe, tidy, and efficient.
I was here for just one night, but wish I had stayed slightly longer, as it's a really beautiful part of the world.
I'd reccomend it for anyone who needs a cost efficient place to stay for a short period of time.
The location and view are fantastic. The location and the view are fantastic. The cozy apartment, where I could recharge my batteries after a bad experience at the hotel in Bergen.
Of course you pay for the location but it really is a lovely hotel. My room had a lovely view, it was super cozy, all the things you want. Breakfast was fabulous.
