The breakfast was good. Hot food was in cast iron pots, and the lids are heavy to remove. There isn't adequate space to place the lid while self serving the food. The hotel location is in the center, which has its good and bad aspects. Halden has many loud cars and motorcycles, so if you are staying there in the summer, your windows are open and the noise can be disturbing. During our last night, music from the anchored boats was blaring at 3 am.

The hotel location was great! The old/modern renovations of the hotel was charming and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and glad it came with the room. The staff was very friendly.
