Location was brilliant for visiting Bergen. Near the fish market, bus tours, good restaurants and walking tours and lots of shopping.

We were greeted by an unsmiling woman who told us we needed to pay for the room and became irritated when we reassured her we had already paid when booking. Not a nice welcome. We found the hotel was dirty including front entrance, stair wells, corridors and rooms. We asked to move room after finding food crumbs all over tables in the first room and hair on the sink. The second room was marginally better but the table and toilet were dirty and the bottom of the wall near the toilet. The fridge was filthy. We informed reception and I emailed photos to the hotel. Two of the reception staff were friendly and helpful as were the staff at breakfast which wasn’t bad overall - a good selection of hot and cold food.

Room was nice and simple as described with a table and comfortable single bed, with light-blocking curtains, I slept quite well. Breakfast was included in price, had a great variety of hot and cold foods and all were delicious. Location was close to all the attraction sites
