The hotel is located in the city, yet I could enjoy the tranquility and the breakfast was fulfilling. I love that they also gave free coffee & tea so I could drink it in my room. I arrived a little late that night, but they were still kind enough to open the door for me :) The hotel is within walking distance of the train station.
If I had to choose a hotel in Zutphen, I would definitely choose the Hampshire Hotel - 's Gravenhof Zutphen again.

Wonderful hot tub in a private backyard and patio. Very nice sauna also. The decor makes you feel like you are on a tropical island in the Caribbean. Soft bathrobes and slippers for guests are a nice touch. An amazing breakfast brought to our door in the morning. Was a great place to stay at the end of our cycling tour through the Netherlands.

The historic centre was well worth visiting and taking time to explore the city. There are plenty of coffee houses to enjoy although in the evening, a number of establishments were closed through staffing shortages.
There were sufficient to enable a different restaurant each night. I thought that the price was expensive but normal for the Netherlands. Not a cheap location.

We didn't have much time in Zutphen, but the old town is very charming! We definitely enjoyed our walk through town, and would have liked to stay a bit longer (Our accommodation was outside the town, so we only had about 1-2 hours to walk around)

Good restaurants and shops; many interesting old buildings; good bus and train services to the surrounding areas, so visits to other places easily practicable. One day I went on the bus to Eefde and saw the very interesting locks on the Twente canal; another day went to Apeldoorn and the Hoge Veluwe, butthere's enough to see in Zutphen itself such as the Walpurgis church.
Beautiful room, beautiful warm soft lighting everywhere. Excellent location just several hundred metres from the train and very close to the main square/old town. A lovely place for a drink and to relax, and also so easy to walk from here to everything you need. Really enjoyed Zutphen and the hotel. Thank you so much for having us and the effort that has gone into making this such a lovely relaxing environment
Friendly staff and nice food at the restaurant. Room was small but comfortable and very clean. The pool and sauna was nice, although I could have done with some additional towels as the thin ones from the room weren't really enough. Not sure if that would be expecting too much as they don't advertise as a luxury hotel of course!
Central location. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room were nice and cozy. They tried to keep the decorations of the room and hotel in line with the old monastery. We had dinner at the restaurant and it was excellent. Also the breakfast was amazing with a 3 course menu.
Breakfast was typical Dutch. The room was quiet and comfortable. The location of the hotel was within easy walking distance of the station and also the town centre and its cafes and shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
