This was our first time in Utrecht, though we've been to many other places in the Netherlands and loved them all. We loved Utrecht too, and enjoyed three days there, which was about the right amount of time. What we loved was the DomUnder experience, an interactive archaeological museum under the cathedral, tracing 2000 years of Utrecht history... very informative and interesting, amazing material, wonderful guide. We also liked excellent meals including fabulous cheeses at Kaasbar and rijstaffel at Selamat Makan. Walking around was nice though rainy, and we heard a beautiful concert in the cathedral.

Utrecht is beautiful historic and friendly.
Utrecht is beautiful historic and friendly. It is like Amsterdam but without the tourists and much more compact. Everyone cycles so it is very quiet and peaceful but definitely not sleepy. Being a university town it has a lively but laid back atmosphere with great bars and cafes. It is however not cheap. It is very clean and beautiful in the old part of town with everywhere within easy walking distance. There are many small second hand shops selling clothes and quirky ornaments, and household items. just wandering around town or sitting in a cool cafe watching the world go by is a great way to spend the day. We were there in December and it is Christmassy without being really overtly commercial. I have travelled extensively around the world and it is in my top 10 cities. I will go back as soon as I can.

Delightful city, a short train ride from Amsterdam but without the mayhem (or the high costs). Lovely canals, interesting historic city centre, pretty waterside parks, lots of shops and restaurants, and several unusual museums that I wish I had had more time to explore.

The hotel is located next to the train station, at a walkable distance from the city center. It is an ideal location not only for visiting the main landmarks from Utrecht, but also to visit other main cities from the Netherlands: Amsterdam, Rotterdam or Hague (aprox 30-35 minutes by train). The room was spacious and clean and the breakfast consisted of a variety of food you could choose from. The hotel staff was very friendly and open to our needs.
The room was excellent! Very big, with big closet and room for luggage and desk. The bathroom was amazing, spotless clean with plenty of amenities and the shower was huge. The bed was very good and big, the fridge was full and there was a coffee machine with capsules. Everything perfectly cleaned with excellent service. The facilities were excellent with everything you need and the hotel was very close to train station and city centre.
The hotel is located in a historic house in the Museum neighbourhood of Utrecht, the southern part of the old city centre. Rooms are nicely decorated in traditional Dutch style with high ceilings and big windows. Breakfast is served directly in the room. The hotel has a nice view on the main canal in Utrecht and it is at walking distance from all attractions. There is also a parking not far from the hotel if you are coming by car.
It was a wonderful self catering apartment with a great balcony overlooking the Maliesingel. Perfect. The kitchen was adequate, a liitle light on with pots and pans. No lid for frying pans etc, Great coffee machine, close to AH and other supermarkets, wonderful walking areas perfect location to the centre and train , bus station.
A Fabulous Utrecht Experience.
Bed super comfy!!!!!!
The style of the hotel was really different but special. Had a very unique vibe and the location is just perfect! It's near the main station, in the city center and also near the Jaarbeurs. I'm pretty sure I'll come here again if I ever will come to Utrecht again :-)
