The breakfast here is a piece of love from the Dutch owner to the fortunate customers who get to know a slice of the Dutch tranquil country life. The back garden is bliss and so is breakfast with a view. The spacious, comfortable rooms are so tastefully decorated and have all the amenities that make a traveler's life a little better, inclusive of Marie Stella Maris cosmetics and a really strong power shower. The Green Room itself is a gem in itself, while the view makes you think of a Roman garden! But the real master is the owner: attentive, kind, generous and never too short of energy to look after whatever your needs may be. And while not connected with the property, the nearby beautiful park is a lovely after breakfast stroll.

Lovely house, very beautiful vintage decorated rooms, lovely cozy feeling, very comfortable beds, like marshmellows, lovely host.And a delicious breakfast, totally recommend it. Also very beautiful surroundings, 10 minutes walk to the city center, museums and a nice 11 minutes bus ride from the city center (bus 70) to old Giethoorn location.There you can walk along the beautiful canal, admire the beautiful houses, visit the Oude Museum and eat a tasty meal at one of the restaurants along the canal route.You can also ride a boat if you like.Overall, we had a perfect weekend and perfect sunny weather on Saturday.Thank you for the memories 🙂

Lots of places to eat not far from the B&B. Clean streets. Some graffiti.
I'm not sure what the draw would be for tourists, but I had business there and it was quite enjoyable.

This is a quiet little town with enough charm for a single night, but no more. All the people are friendly and English-speaking. When one of the restaurants was closed, the owner directed us to another one where they informed us the kitchen was closing within 11 minutes and asked us to expedite our order, which was nice to know so we didn't go hungry. They were polite and suited to tourists.
Jaap was an amazing host, he really cares about the people staying at his place and he caters to all your needs. He toured us around the place and in the morning he made us a phenomenal breakfast. The big windows allowed us to have a great view onto the streets of steenwijk and on walking distance is the centrum where there are enough stores and restaurants for anyone's liking. One busride away from Giethoorn.
Cozy small hotel in the center of the city with beautiful, spacious rooms. Very atmospheric. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Amazing breakfast served to the table. Felt like every detail was well considered, in the rooms but also throughout the hotel. Great stay.
Villa Steenwyck Giethoorn located very near to city center of Steenwijk. The ambience of hotel is very nice and its one of the memorable one. Rooms were very nice, neat & clean. I strongly recommend the best place to stay if in the planning to be in Steenwijk.

new hotel for which improvements are planned and needed, friendly staff. Location along the motorway may be a plus for some for us it was a minus. Breakfast was good, but one had to ask all the time
