Very convenient for our layover because hotel connects to the airport. And there is a restaurant in the hotel. We didn't have to go very far to get food and drinks.

It's a great airport hotel; one of very few in actual walking distance at Schiphol airport. Really nice and helpful staff, nice food and drink selection at the bar. All in all, everything one can ask for when staying a night to catch an early flight.

The airport sits on reclaimed land around 10 feet below sea level on the site of a former huge inland lake. In fact, the name Schiphol may mean "ship grave," a reference to the ships that would periodically be sunk in its turbulent waters.
A train station serving many Dutch cities lies beneath the terminal building which houses a mini Rijksmuseum exhibition, reference library with multilingual books, and plenty of shops selling the ubiquitous clogs, tulip bulbs and cheese.
Booking.com’s range of Schiphol Airport hotels includes several on-site hotels. Others are in neighboring Hoofddorp, a town also within the area of the former lake, whose De Eersteling windmill overlooks a dike encircling a former fort.
Another windmill, the Molen van Sloten, is across a canal from Badhoevedorp on the airport’s north side. To the east, the huge Amsterdamse Bos forest is a haven of peace and tranquillity (apart from the occasional aircraft!) and borders Amstelveen. To the southwest is Aalsmeer, a town set on the huge Westeinderplassen Lake, and whose massive flower auction house receives daily consignments from all over the world.

The airfield is good and well-organized, though the distances are quite large. Many moving walkways were not working, and it seems the renovation is taking ages
To my surprise, we flew with a new Cityhopper plane from AMS to OTP, and I wasn't prepared to first go through the passenger bridge only to end up on stairs to take the bus to the plane. This was my first time experiencing this on this trip. As a 76-year-old, I had to go down the stairs without my coat in very cold weather.
I also didn’t notice the reduced price on the ticket, and going with the bus could have been mentioned at the start of boarding.

Due to unforeseen airline circumstances and baggage delays, I had a very short time getting to my flight. A blunt and unsympathetic male employee refused when I asked to access security at the front of the line, which was estimated to take 15 minutes to get through security. Plus, my gate was D86,another estimated time of 12 minutes after security, and my flight was to leave in 20 minutes. As I worked through the line, I asked another employee, a female, to explain my situation. She was willing to assist. No one in the line complained; all were in favour, but her male superior (the initial person) again said no. So my impression is negative.
Due to issues with the flight, not posted, I made the flight by 2 mins.

This airport is large, so you must give yourself time. Security people were polite, helpful and not rushing or pushing you. The passport check in was slow but effective.
The shops and restaurants catered for all tastes and were clean and bright.

My concern was the restrooms.
I noticed that the thrash bins were not emptied.
There were cleaning persons who cleaned those rooms but they did not bother to empty the trash bins which were overflowing already, and I was there and I witnessed how they worked.
It is too bad, the airport is very nice, the staff were good except for the cleaning people assigned in the restrooms.

It is very easy to get around this airport.
Immigration very professional, Baggage carrousel was quick.
Didn't like the self luggage check-in due to the fact the young ladies standing there were not very helpful and looked quite bothered to assist when asked. This system is not yet available in many airports yet they expect passengers to know how to use it.

I love Schiphol.
I love Schiphol. It is big (and landing at the far end of B can be tedious), but for its size it is quite manageable, and a great advantage not to have to travel separately between terminals. Nice lounges, good Cava. Very pleasant personnel.

Typical airport hotel, modern with good facilities and easy reach from the airport by free shuttle service, which worked very well in both directions (from and to the airport/train station of Schiphol). Big, clean and comfortable rooms, to have a good sleep before the flight. Like many of these hotels well equipped and functional, but huge and anonymus.
Very luxurious hotel very close to Schiphol airport. On foot it is about 10 minutes to the departure hall and even closer to Schiphol plaza. Check in was very efficient and we were welcomed nicely. We had a a view on Schiphol airport but the rooms were still very quiet and spacious. The bathroom was also very luxurious.
Perfect location at walking distance from the Schiphol airport. I usually choose this hotel if I have an early flight. The rooms are clean, have good internet connection and the breakfast is good.
Nice and clean hotel. 20min from/to the airport by free shuttle bus. Amsterdam and Rotterdam Centraal Stations easily accesible by frequent trains from Amsterdam airport.
