We stayed here near the airport. It is clean, good size rooms, helpful staff and convenient. What really surprised us is how good the restaurant was for dinner. A great way to end our vacation.

The hotel is one stop away from the airport by metro, which is an advantage if you are arriving/leaving by plane. Even thought the property is not very close to the city center, it’s well connected by metro so it’s great!

The staff were kind and helpful, and the included breakfast was good. My favorite aspect is the proximity to the train station, we were able to get to Amsterdam in about 20 minutes or The Hague in about 40. It made a good location for exploring both cities while not spending nearly as much on a hotel.

Hoofddorp represents one of those typical Dutch engineering marvels. Created after the draining of a lake and surrounding marshlands, it is today a mix of the traditional Dutch and ultimate modernity. Hoofddorp is located next to Schiphol International Airport and less than 30 minutes by train to Amsterdam city centre.
Founded in the mid-19th century after the draining of the Haarlemmer Lake, the town still maintains old typical houses, an old fort, and the 1856 windmill called ‘De Eersteling’, or ‘The First’. Conveniently located near the airport, this accommodation offers a cozy retreat away from the usual tourist spots. The breakfast is exceptional, providing a delightful start to the day. The rooms are impeccably clean, catering perfectly to those with high standards like myself. From the complimentary shuttle service every 15 minutes to the seamless check-in process, the overall experience surpasses many others. Although I arrived around 9 PM and found the kitchen closed, the outstanding breakfast the next morning more than compensated for it.

If you want to be near Schipol Airport, Hoofddorp is best...
If you want to be near Schipol Airport, Hoofddorp is best for connectivity to the Airport. On the other hand, if you want to travel to Centraal or anywhere inside Amsterdam city, travelling is a hassle. You'll need to take the train which is sometimes unreliable and gets cancelled easily when the weather is bad.

Hoofdorp is ok, they've got an AlbertHeijn XL and a good shopping centre. Pick your hotel near the railway station for easy access to Amsterdam and Schiphol. Novotel area looks ok right next to the station with secure parking. Hoofddorp winkelstad looked ok open till 9pm on a friday. Stay clear of the Hotelux, you can only reach it by car or taxi, no food on premises, once you are in with a taxi there is no way out other than a taxi.

I walked from the train station to the hotel using the gps...
I walked from the train station to the hotel using the gps walking directions on my phone. It was confusing and I had to change directions several times. I arrived during the day. It was not a short walk.
The next time I returned to the hotel from the train station, I noticed a small sign which pointed to the right for the hotel. Never saw it the first time. A bigger sign would have been helpful.
There were no laundry facilities in the hotel. Travelers these days try to keep luggage to a minimum to avoid extra fees and lost luggage. They need to do laundry more often.
I left very early when it was still dark outside. The walk is past open fields with little or no lighting, then up and down some steep concrete stairs to get near the train station. I did not feel very safe but at least I only had a backpack and small carry-on bag. I feel sorry for those who arrive with larger luggage.
Overall, it is a very nice place. Seemed like mostly business travelers in the lobby.

We needed to be close to the airport. However, should we return to Amsterdam for a longer stay we would stay in the city center. Nothing wrong with the hotel we would just prefer to be in the city next time.

This facility does not offer breakfast, it is not a bed&breakfast place. The guests can have breakfast in cafetaria 7 min walk away. So, the facility is an apartment rental. The hosts are present, which is a an addon to the a pure apartment rental. The hosts are helpful. However, as I have share with them directly, they need to adjust their promotion, so that guests have the correct expectation. The site on Booking.com does not explain things correctly

It's a very good budget friendly hotel with clean rooms that are well looked after. Staff are friendly. The breakfast was good - a continental breakfast with coffee, croissants, meats, cheese, fruit juice, toast, cereal, fruit salad and yogurt. It was good for a budget hotel not far from central amsterdam - we had to take a 20 minute train ride from hoofddorp each day to Amsterdam Central.
Location was excellent. Very close to the airport. You can easily take a bus from the hotel to the airport (3 min) and then catch the intercity train to amsterdam central. Breakfast was great!
Comfy room, easy to get there by shuttle. Friendly staff. We've been to Amsterdam before and have experienced other hotels, will definitely go back to moxy
