A bustling small city, Eindhoven is the ‘Capital of Dutch Design’ and home to the Design Academy. It houses a renowned technical university, and is a European technological hub that makes it shine with modern buildings and venues. The 5th-largest city in the Netherlands has also become popular for the fast-growing Eindhoven Airport.
Although it gained its city rights in 1232, until the foundation of the Phillips Company in 1891 it was still a small village. Encompassing the growth of the company, at the beginning of the 21st century its population had jumped to 200.000 people.
Nowadays, it still attracts companies and people wanting to develop themselves in the fields of creativity and innovation. The Dutch Design Week is a famous event that takes place in October, while contemporary media, art and technology inspire the city’s agenda throughout the year.
Choosing hotels in Eindhoven’s city centre is the best way to have everything at hand. However, hotels or B&B’s near the train station or Eindhoven Airport are also a good option to avoid last-minute rushes. Check out Booking.com’s deals before you travel!
Eindhoven is a great place. It is not very big, so that makes it the best fit for me. You can ride a bike, everybody is doing it and it is great. There are a lot of things to do there. The best place to visit is Next Nature Museum where you can find a lot of information and great exhibitions and "go to the future" via VR Machine. Eindhoven has a lot of great cafes, restaurants, shops.

Holiday Inn
Liked - Not good enough - there is nothing We liked
Disliked · The breakfast is below average, the rooms not cleaned properly We stayed for 5 nights and after the third night we had to tell them to change the sheets, found an old packet with a sandwich left on top of the fridge, the cups and utilities not changed since we arrived and left, had to ask for another towel, only one in the toilet, overall this Holiday Inn is not up to standard and the people doing the cleaning of the rooms needs to be replaced with better staff. The room 502 that we stayed had a feet aroma smell, very uncomfortable, tried to open the windows to clear the smell but no luck.
Food not great

It was a lovely city to visit.
It was a lovely city to visit. There was a range of things to do (shopping, site seeing, museums, interactive experiences, food) which we filled our days with. Plenty of pubs in the area too. The locals were lovely, and a lot were all very good at speaking English which made me less nervous because as much as I try I'm not overally good at learning new languages. One of our nights we ate at 'The Black Cat' (Kerkstraat 16, 5611 GJ) - 100% recommend coming here! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff were so lovely, and the owner was a delight to talk to when she welcomed us and thanked us for eating there! Genuinely some of the best food I've eaten.

Lovely little city with great little eateries.
Lovely little city with great little eateries. Most places don't open until 10am so if not using hotel breakfast, be prepared to wait. The centre is quite lovely at night and the church is pretty.

Very convenient for the town.
Very convenient for the town. Pity we had a frustrating start in arriving at hotel as signage to hotel carpark was hidden by overgrown hedge so caused us 30mins going round and round one way streets to get back to the hotel no fun for 75 year olds after a a long drive from uk

Everyone was very helpful whenever I needed.
Everyone was very helpful whenever I needed. Nice cafes, pubs, restaurants made it even more enjoyable. Weather wasn't the best maybe, it rained a few times for brief periods, but warmth was nice enough, never felt cold. Learnt the hard way that Philips museum is closed on Mondays, DAF museum wasn't too big but I like cars, vehicles in general, all kinds of tech and machinery. I'd definitely visit again and spend more time in Eindhoven if it wasn't for business.
Voted 'best hotel of Eindhoven' and yes! It lives up to its name. An old monastery and school close to the city centre of Eindhoven. The city centre is only a 5 minute walk away.
It is tastefully renovated to a hotel with conference rooms. Very interesting to see how old and new architecture is combined.
The breakfast was great with an interesting choice of foods that even included Chia yoghurts. Rooms are modern, the staff very friendly and helpfull. The hotel has its own parkingspace close to the entrance.
Room and bed were massive. Great location for airport and if get the bus into Eindhoven the bus to the hotel is very easy. We had a great sleep before our flight home. We grabbed a bus the one stop to the airport as it was raining and it was super close by.
Hotel Nassau is located in a perfect position, all around you can find restaurants and bars and it's a few minutes walking to the train station and to the city centre.
The room was daily cleaned and very quite by night.
Location is perfect, right in the Eindhoven city centre, about 10 minute walk from the central station. Super comfy bed and extremely friendly and helpful staff.
