Unfortunately the B&B was in the midst of being re-decorated and re-furbished and the room that I had booked had been given to another visitor so I wasn't able to stay here and had to find another hotel at 21.00hrs. Long taxi ride and complete failure of booking.com to provide accurate information regarding the properties om offer.

We loved Eelde-Paterswolde because of its beautiful...
We loved Eelde-Paterswolde because of its beautiful countryside and quaint little houses. There were plenty of places to choose from to eat nearby our hotel. We had lunch at a lovely little fishing village not far away. We would have liked to have spent more time there but we planned our trip in advance.

Hotel is located in nice and quite area full of trees and with huge lake 10 minutes walk where I could just sit down, relax and watch sunset. Hotel's got 24h reception so doesn't matter what time you turn up, they always take you in and provide with everything you need. Restaurant was brilliant and tasty, staff very friendly and helpful as in restaurant as in hotel part. Next time when I'll be on similar travels, I'm sure I'll be back again. Thank you. Dominik.
We had a family suite which had two separate bedrooms and was very spacious. There was also a small balcony with a table and chairs.
There was a bus stop right outside the hotel and the staff advised which bus to get to Groening and back which was helpful.
The pool was lovely and the breakfast was very good too.
We stay regularly in Groningen. Familiehotel is good value for money. Quiet location, sufficient parking, some restaurants in the area, lake closeby, spacious room.
