Very nice hotel to stay a couple of nights with the family. Nice pool and playground as well as access to outdoor pool.
De Zwaan is located in a monumental villa in the center of Delden. The train station is a 5-minute walk away and Hengelo and Enschede are within easy reach.

Located on Oldenzaal’s market square in the lively entertainment area, this hotel offers a restaurant and a bar with a spacious terrace. Enschede and Hengelo are 20 minutes away by car.

Honestly I don't know why there are so many bad reviews for this hotel. The staffs were very friendly and super helpful. They booked a taxi for me for the next day. And when the taxi was late to arrive, they called up the taxi to verify the status. Breakfast was included even though I couldn't wake up on time for it. Later when I ordered a coffee, they gave it for free.
The room was clean and spacious. It was a very hot day. My room had an instant chill air cooler which, although is not an AC, is better than a fan .
And of course location is very central.
City Hotel Hengelo is centrally located in Hengelo and only a 2-minute walk from the train station. There is free WiFi throughout the hotel. Every floor of City Hotel Hengelo has its own theme.
The alpacas made the stay really fun and unique. The indoor swimming pool and sauna was very relaxing and as if it was our own private facilities.
The staff were also super friendly and accommodating. They made a big effort to make us feel comfortable and for our stay to be special. :)
I would definitely recommend the hotel and the area, which is many nature trails and towns close by to explore.
