Beautifully styled boutique hotel, much larger than average room that have everything you needed and looked especially cosy for the winter with its own fireplace and settee. Location was enroute home so suited us. Unfortunately check-in was poor/lenghty, one of rooms didn't fit 3 people as booked but we were too tired to go back and change it. Overall the property could do with some investment.

Breda is a peaceful, wonderful place where you can relax, take long walks in the nature, along the river, in the woods, on the fields. There are very good restaurants and pubs in Breda, friendly people everywhere. Nothing and nobody disturbs you ever! It is the right place to rethink your entire life and put everything in a new light! I strongly recommend Breda as a starting point for those who want to know Netherlands!

We visited close friends, so it was a holiday trip but not for sight- seeing. Breda itself has not much to offer, it is a mid-size town with a pedestrian zone in the center but no real highlights. Apart from the usual shops there are some nice restaurants and bars, but you have to know them. Compared to Amsterdam f.e. it lacks all the tourist attraction, so no canals or coffee shops. a bit plain, typical dutch.

Rent a hotel in the centre or rent a car. No trams in the city, like Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Hotels in the city can be expensive, just because they are in the city. But not necessarily good.

It has a very small cozy city center but, depending on what you like, it has enough entertainment.
I took the tour in the cathedral and went up to the tower. Walked around the city center, went to the park, stond on the "Hoge Brug"... You can visit the begijnenhof and go to a couple of more museums. Also the Natural park De Biesbosch is 30km from Breda.

don’t stay in this hotel ? they over charged you I book from booking .com it’s €126+ €9 for parking and city tax it will come €135 , they charge me €144 , room is dirty , hotel is very old , one of the worst hotel I stay ? I mostly stay in van der valk hotel Breda the hotel was busy so I was thinking this is also a 4 star hotel to stay here it’s a 1star hotel , Don’t stay in this hotel again ? you spend that money better stay any better hotel then this there are more best hotel in Breda I will never recommend this hotel
Although it is part of the university complex and the staff are learning it was a lovely place to stay , All staff were friendly , the rooms were very rustic and lovely. Close to city centre . Free parking too . It’s very vibrant too, lots of teaching going on around the hotel for the students so probably not good if you like peace
The room was lovely, spacious and luxurious. everything was great. the bed was very comfortable, the suite was clean. the staff was very friendly. the hotel is located in the city center. shops, bars and restaurants are just outside the hotel. We had a wonderful relaxing time at bliss hotel.
