Every day we had a beautiful breakfast set up for us in the main gathering room - delicious cheese, breads, pastries, soft boiled egg, fresh juices and coffee/tea. The room was large and the bed was without question like sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom had a very nice shower - large towels. The history and architecture add to it's charm. The staff and owner were very friendly and accommodating. We will stay here every time we visit.

The room was excellent and quiet. Staff was initially non existent, but eventually reachable by phone. And when we met, we were provided with excellent assistance and in an utmost friendly manner.

Beautiful island and a nice place to relax. The room was clean but needed some updating as the furnishings were worn out. Breakfast was decent and the owner is very nice.

A nice town with a charming atmosphere. Friendly and relaxing. Still modern and functional. It is our favorite stop on our way to England. Het Weeshuis is highly recommended as a nice place to stay. The combination of spacious rooms, friendly staff and perfect outdoor area is a rare combination. We highly recommend Bolsward and Het Weeshuis if you want to "catch your breath again" .

Wonderful place to stay.
Wonderful place to stay. Love that the room had a separate lounge area and great terrace and views over the garden. The beds were so comfortable. The 24 hour coffee/tea and honor snack bar was really convenient and nice. Bolsward is a lovely town and very walkable.. The on site parking is great. Great coffee shops/bakeries and restaurants.

Bolsward is a very pretty town and an ideal place for exploring Friesland.
It is well located for getting around. We travelled from Ijmuiden (off the ferry from Newcastle) to Bolsward, stopping by the coastal area and up towards Den Helder. Harlingen was our favourite place to visit.
We enjoyed a delicious five course dinner at Brugman, only open on Friday and Saturday nights. There are plenty of other places to eat at in Bolsward.
We would definitely recommend staying at Het Weehuis in Bolsward. It really is the perfect place to unwind.

It is a beautiful town, with a lot of history and museums. I also liked the architecture and atmosphere of Bolsward. Unfortunately it was really cold and raining hail so we did not see as much as we planned. So we plan on going back when it is spring or summer and stay a bit longer so we will have more time and better weather to walk thru the town.

The hotel is pretty new, modern design. It is ideally located on the main street of Bolsward. Check-in and check-out are automatic, you do not meet anybody, everything is done through internet, you even use your phone to open the doors of the hotel and of the room. The room I stayed was big and nice.
First experience of hotel without a reception. Everything went smoothly via email and received check-in info on arrival date.
The room was modern and bright, exceptionally clean and a very comfortable bed. We loved the format and very convenient as in the historic center.
Nice clean little hotel in the city center. All we needed for a good nice sleep. No hotel staff, but that didn't bother us opening the door with our mobile etc. But it is important to be aware of that you need your phone with you and have internet on it. But it worked fine.
It was a beautiful hotel that I would definitely stay at again. We liked the breakfast, staff, hotel room and the location. Loved the special touches and decor of the hotel.
