What an amazing place! The name is well chosen as it does feel like a second home!
It is very well managed. Super comfortable. Great vibes. Great organization and help for extra activities.
You can really see that it was created by people who are used to travel and stayed in hostels as all the details have been thought through.
Great breakfast options, delicious and filling !
Very nice surf options nearby or a boat trip away !

Lovely place and staff. The restaurant food and drinks were my favourite. Also the sauna and ice bath, although they don't always run because of the electricity limits on generators, but not a lot the hotel could do about that!
Loved the complimentary netflix in my room too.

Located only a 10min walk away from the secluded Popoyo surf break, it’s a great place to stay for surfers. The rooms are clean, well presented, have air conditioning and hot water. The pool area is well maintained and a relaxing environment with hammocks surrounded by nice gardens. The restaurant serves good food for a reasonable price. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. You can hire surfboards and the staff assist with organising taxi drivers when required. We would definitely recommend staying at nicawaves.

Fantastic location! Enjoyed some amazing sunsets from the restaurant and small decking area. Ideal for surfing but only at high tides when we were there. Beds were comfy and the hammocks were a great addition.

Great spot for a surf stay or backpackers. The rooms are comfy with private bathrooms, which are clean comfy and had good showers. the beds were absolutely outstanding and there was linen provided, sheets pillows PLUS towels!
There is a self service kitchen, not incredibly big but totally functional. The place is very secure and each room locks with a keycode. 24 hour security on duty.
Beach is great with surfboard rentals at $10 a day just a few doors down. The local shop is a bit sparsely stocked, but there are fruit vans that comes past every day. A few local restaurants serve good food in the evenings, but you have to book and tell them you're coming because they make limited meals per evening.

Originally I was only going to go there for 3 days and changed my stay to a week. It's a very peaceful place to be. I don't surf, but I also swam and enjoyed watching the beautiful sunsets. It is a destination site though, to get in and out you have to schedule special taxi transport (which can be pricey.)

Great surfing spot and a wonderful beach so you can simply enjoy both activities. The area has many options for accommodation and food that fit all pockets. It might be a bit challenging to get to it but once you are there, it is worth it. Be careful, you might never want to leave :) ...
