The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Arriving at 4AM does not present any problem, needing another room without reserving at beforehand never was a problem. The breakfast is very good, asking for extras is no problem.

The proximity to the border with Honduras was ideal for us traveling through Central America. The property is big and completely closed so very safe for our car and us. The cuidador was very nice and the AC worked well

I actually liked everything at Mellow. The owner, Nathan and his staff led by the lovely Alejandro went out of his way to create a memorable experience. Not only was he able to get me a perfect surf board on virtually no notice, but the surf guide he arranged, Chico, was also the best. The food was super-tasty, much of it grown from Mellow's own garden or plucked from the trees surrounding the pool. The hotel is beautifully designed and modern, the sunsets were legendary and it is only a short walk to a really really great break. Nathan is also involved in local projects to give back to the community which I find inspiring. I am already planning my next trip!
