Merisa is an amazing host! Extremely welcoming, shared travel stories, some hunting stories and showed us around her backyard. The three-course dinner (came at an extra cost, cooked by Merisa) was well worth the money! The breakfast (included with the booking) was also delicious. Comfortable beds & warm shower - everything we could hope for.
Featuring a swimming pool and a beer garden, Okahandja Country Hotel is located in a quiet area just outside of Okahandja. Camel Thorn trees and bird life can be found on the hotel grounds.

Conveniently located along the major highway, but it was very quiet. It has modern facilities and comfort, yet the design of the hotel is such that we felt staying in the country side. The hotel property has lots of birds.
It was a perfect stop between Waterberg and Windhoek. It was also our last day before going back home so we really enjoyed the pool and quiet of the place.
It’s self catering but we didn’t want to cook so Shorti recommended Okahandja Country hotel to eat (3 min with the car) which was excellent.
We could also park the car inside the premises which was a big + since it was a rental car.
Everything was super clean, nothing to say about that.
There was AC, super to beat the warmth.
This was our second visit to this hotel and it did not disappoint :) Excellent value for money considering the size of the room and dinner was excellent - just as we remembered from 2 years ago. Enjoyed breakfast as well. Great stopover before venturing into the northern "wilds" of Namibia.
The hotel is in a beautiful bushveld environment with lawns shaded by camel thorn trees. Eating out on the terraces on warm evenings is splendid. The staff is exceptionally friendly. We were very happy and decided to book accommodation for our return trip
Really lovely location just outside Okahandja, nice garden and open design, charming traditional interior and guinea fowls (Perlhühner) roaming around the driveway! Super friendly staff and generous breakfast buffet!
The staff were very friendly and efficient. The hotel was a very nice restful place after a flight and drive. A good place to stopover on a trip further north or a return journey back to airport.
