The place is only 5 mins walking to the beautiful beach. They also provided a shared washer and kitchen area. Many restaurants are available in that area.

Staff were laid back and did not respond quickly to our requests.If a safe is opened by your technician he should remove the contents and bring it to reception to verify who it belongs to. He cannot assume that it belongs to the present client as it could belong to the previous client as was the case with my friends stolen bag with passports and cash.This is unacceptable for a resort which claims it is 5 star.Stay away from Tanjung rhu.

When I first arrived, I freaked out by the lack of any shops...
When I first arrived, I freaked out by the lack of any shops/activity nearby, choice of restaurants etc. By day 2, I LOVED the serenity of the place. There was one restaurant 50 metres away, where I ate every night for a few dollars, opens at 4pm. wo coffee shops, that also served snacks, and a general store about 10 mins walk away. I had a beach to myself for my entire stay! Staying at Red Coral was like being at a retreat. Very comfortable, and very clean basic rooms, hot water shower, great aircon, kettle, fridge. Friendly and helpful staff. I can't wait to return. If you are party person, this is probably NOT the place for you! Get around by using Grab app ... so cheap!

The beach is gorgeous, but we didn't swim in the ocean because of the concern for jellyfish stings. Beach is quite isolated from the rest of the island for most activities, although the mangrove tours launch from the beach, which is very convenient. I wouldn't recommend staying on Tanjung Rhu because of it being far away from other things on the island (30 minutes drive or so), especially with kids.

Staff needs more training - most were new and could do with more knowledge and finesse for such an established resort. Some came across as unhelpful, not willing to give extended check out even though the resort was running on low capacity. Some came across as patronizing which can be irritating to well-travelled guests. Half the resort was boarded up - they should close and proceed with the refurbishment immediately, not doing things by halves. Food was sub-par for an establishment like this. It is one of the best locations in Langkawi, but run half-heartedly. Such a pity.
Excellent room with sea view - wonderfully located, literally a few steps to the sea, you can look at the sea while lying in bed!

The social area of the hotel is very gorgeous and comfortable, it can be seen that a lot of work and care has been put in making it pretty. It is located in a very peaceful place very close to the beach. The breakfast is delicious, especially the french toast. The staff is very friendly and always helpful. It is great value for the price.

the room is nice, bed is super comfortable. and the gym and the tennis court. they have 2 pools: and they are stunning. decoration and art direction of the entire resort is nice. the green garden is big and walkable. very nice for cycling you get get a bicycle from the gym.
The location near Tanjung Rhu is great. If you go by scooter, it's only 10 mins away. The beach is quiet and clean and beautiful. The garden of the location has many different birds and the restaurant at the beach is amazing and very cheap.

Great location near Tanjung Rhu which is the best beach of Langkawi. You hear voice of the sea right in your bed. Nice bar Fish'n'chips next door. Local shop 5 minute walking with basic product. Definitely back again.

The hotel thinks of most things if not all! They provided us with pool towels, separate beach towels and a beach mat as well as a bag to carry them in! Lovely swimming pool with friendly and welcoming staff.
Location is superb. Beach is right there and there are multiple restaurants nearby. Tanjung Rhu jetty is 10min away and Kubang Badak jetty 15min away. Perfect if you are going for tours from these jetties.
Very nice and helpful owner in terms of service, recommendations and friendliness. Nice restaurant and coffeebar next to the hotel. And a very beautiful view of the rice fields and mountains.
Close to the beach, had a fridge which a lot of hotels here do not have. Air conditioner was clean and worked well. Hot water was good. Beach area is nice with chairs.
