Only disappointing point for me qas to find out that I couldn't swim at te beaxch nearby because of crocodiles. I should have checked better! Thanfully they told me! Amazing location with 2 beautiful and quiet beaches. We saw so many proboscis monkeys just within the resort grounds. Breakfast was filling and other meals were of decent quality and not over priced. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked well. It was very clean inside considering we are in the middle of a jungle! We also liked that we could still walk to other restaurants for different sunsets, food and views. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We had an amazing 3 days at Cove 55. The rooms were spacious and bathrooms were amazing. We made great use of the pool which overlooked the bay and had a pool bar to enjoy a cocktail at as well. The food too was amazing for both breakfast and dinner, and had enough options for our fussy kids to chose from. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. I would stay here again for sure.

The staffs are friendly. Helping us to carry our bags to upstairs. To visit Damai Beach, just need you to drive for less than 10 minutes from this homestay. To view a nice sunset at this beach, you must reach there at least before 6.15 pm.

Stunning surroundings, very cute concept. The larger rooms looked more spacious.
The staff were helpful in organising a driver when we couldn't get a Grab (though it did cost twice as much so be aware of that).

Breakfast selection was very limited and the time taken for replenishment was slow. The pool facilities overall was as what we expected (decent), but we had a very unpleasant experience with the team building group that were present. There was loud techno music being played by the pool reception staff and when I approached him to request for him to either change the music or tone down the volume, he informed me that the music was requested by the other guests. I was later informed by the staff concerned that he did not have a choice but to honor the guests requests (which is totally understandable), but what made it a total turn off was the fact that the management did not put conditions on these types of guests requests which potentially disrupts the peace and serenity. I could go elsewhere if I'm being a "Karen" about this feedback, but it's my honest review. Apart from the crappy techno / rave music that was blasting from the pool area and the poor selection of breakfast, I'd give 4 stars for the service/ hospitality by the staff in general.

Nice place for the location, beach & mountain. Breakfast & other meals can be improved ~ however we should give management grace period post lockdown. Please improve the wifi - it can’t be used.
Visit Cultural Village- it is within walking distance & nicely set up.

Visited on 30/12- As it was high tide, it was not safe to swim during our visit. But when low tide in the morning, you can walk quite far Scenery of the hill was great. There was a small waterfall nearby the resort where you can go have picnic. Sarawak Cultural Village is quite rundown now, they should have more attractions as the entrance fee is already high. Shuttle from resort to Kuching is convenient. Those who love nature can go hiking at Mount Santubong. There is a bazaar with stalls selling food and also 7-Eleven store in front of the Sarawak Cultural Village.
We had a great time, the hotel room and grounds are beautiful, and the staff are warm and welcoming! We had arrived late from a long drive and the staff were so thoughtful, they had even contacted us early to ensure that we were well taken care off and accommodated our request for late night dinner even after the kitchen had closed. The food was all delicious!
We had a fantastic stay here .Louise and poly, our hosts were really accommodating and helpful. The views from around the hotel were stunning and we were lucky enough to see several proboscis monkies right next to the hotel.
I can highly recommend Escobars for food in the evening we went there 3 times and we were most impressed.
We love the people who works there, all of them are fantastics, kind and always help us whatever we need. The hotel is precious, to relax, the wonderful rooms and the pool, the plants ☘️☘️☘️ in the middle of nature...
