The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort, hotel in Redang Island

Situated off the coast of Terengganu, the luxurious The Taaras Beach & Spa Resort features spacious rooms with a balcony. The resort offers a swimming pool and 4 dining options.

The hotel was just ok (decent room size but a bit dated/shabby). However, the beach steals the show: crystal waters, white powdery sand, coral reefs on the sides and lots of fish to see. Also, there were lots of activities to do, swim with sea turtles, release baby turtles, scub adiving, snorkeling, etc.

the public beach was deserted when we went so it was great , all to ourselves. beautiful and fun snorkelling and swimming. very hot and humid. delicious food and very very pleasant people. Crossing to the island was rough, but fun! 16knots! easy to hire a ferry, but get there on time or pay more than double for the next (private) one. no one walks , everyone rides a motorbike. Very easy and cheap to hire. bring very light clothes , flip flops and cover from the biting bugs.

Myself and my family members likes Baku island green coral snorkling, and swim with turtles. Then long beach walling to impressive experience. Still need to improve the transportation access with package. Now i paid separate each and every facility. otherwise, it is safe place for family visit.

Excellent place to stay with good facilities.

Excellent place to stay with good facilities. The catering could have been better but under the 'new normal' was OK. No wifi in the rooms but this isn't an issue generally. The room was only made up on request but again was not too much of an issue. We loved the whole experience and we'll be back again.

The island is brilliant if you just want some down time.

The island is brilliant if you just want some down time. There are a few different resorts dotted along the beach. A great place to take a book and have some much needed R&R - it’s safe, the locals are very friendly and always happy to assist. Not really a place if you want to be kept busy. Good for all sorts of travellers - single, couples, with friends or family.

My one-night stay at Redang Island Resort was a peaceful escape into natural beauty. The resort offers comfortable, well-appointed rooms with a beachside ambiance. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. Dining was enjoyable with delicious seafood and scenic views. Despite a short stay, I had the opportunity to snorkel and explore the vibrant marine life. Overall, Redang Island Resort is perfect for a relaxing retreat amidst stunning surroundings.

The location was fine as we were not far from the main beach, though the walk to the hotel involved passing what appeared to be the island’s rubbish dump site!!! The highlight was the staff and the general kindness of the receptionist (Khairul) and his brother (Aimar who took us for the swimming with turtles experience). The island is a beautiful experience. We had a good night sleep as the bed was comfortable and quiet!!

Wauw!!! When we arrived, the island vibe immediately came over us. It was clean and cosy and we were welcomed really kindly. The view made it a paradise for us. All the people there are really friendly and you feel like you're totally away from the world for a while. I recommend this campstay so badly!!

First of all, I enjoyed the land transport from jetty to the resort. Then the welcome iced kalamansi drinks. Attended by dedicated Mr Saiful for the checking in part. I love the room. The beach. The bar. The dining place. The shop. The lounge. The buggy.
