Dina is absolutely AMAZING. Since even before my arrival she has been really patient and extremely nice to me: I explained I have a condition and she even upgraded me for free to give me the best possible experience in her place. Her family is as lovely as she is: everybody is extremely kind, polite and respectful. She makes you feel home straight away, always smiling and so welcoming, she's the soul of this place.
The homestay is basic and local but very comfortable, just a short walk from the national park. The shared bathroom was always super clean.
She provides breakfast, lunch and dinner and some activities.
I highly recommend this sweet family to anybody. They'll make you feel home.

The location of this homestay is the best part about it. It's a 2 minute walk from the park entrance while still giving you the feel of being outside of the park. They kept power on the whole time so we could still charge things throughout the day and keep the fans on all night. At nights the rooms cooled down and were comfortable. The bathrooms were shared but we were the only people here so it felt private.

river boat ride to the amazing caves. dont miss the bat flight. lots of walking in the mulu national park. office staff, guides are friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. mulu has only 300 houses. there is no town. so the only attraction is the mulu national park, mariott hotel and homestays, cafes ( which are opened occasionally) if you want adventure, time with nature , quiet, astounding sites of caves and sheer size...come to Mulu. oh yes attractive pricing

Always give priority to Wind and Clear water caves as this tour is depending on weather
It’s a rain forest , overnight heavy rain may stop the tour for next day as tourists have to move by boat . keep a rain coat unless you like to get drenched. Be prepared to swim in clear water cave

Mulu is an out-of-this-world experience. The cave are stupendous and the surrounding nature is breathtaking. The walks and excursions in the park are very well organised with helpful and knowledgeable guides and arevvery moderately priced.

The locals are most helpful and friendly especially the airport tuck shop.
