I rarely give any feedback of the hotel that I stayed before. Maybe because of the satisfaction that I had. However, for this trip I am sorry that I have to say it was awful. My family and I was not enjoying the trip anyway. We could smell the ash of cigarette whenever we enter the room and the bathroom facilities is bad. Besides, the air conditioner is functioning but not really in good condition. The hotel should improve or renovate their hotel in proper way as they provide service to the people and they have to make sure that they are offering the good service.

I wanted to see a bit of the east coast and had heard Cherating was a laid-back area but it is so spread out, I had difficulty knowing where to stay. Several places stated 12km from Center or 7km from Center. I booked near Cukai because it stated 9km from Center (I had searched for accommodation in Cherating). While Cherating appears to have seen it's day in tourism, it is still obvious that tourists go there; tour offerings, guest houses, restaurants, surfers in season. I did not get the impression that Cukai has any interest in foreign tourists. People are friendly but I felt like they thought I had dropped from the sky....surprised at my presence. I did not see one foreigner in three days...which can be a good thing. One fisherman on the beach, no one else on the beach in three days of about two hours a day visits. A few local teens and preparation for some event in the park nearby on Friday. No public transport to the outer perimeters of Cukai or into Cherating so Grab Cabs are required to go into either town. Looks like a nice town but if you are looking for somewhere to have an alcoholic drink or be in the company of other tourists, it might be a challenge. I did enjoy a relaxing visit.
