This property was amazing! Great views wonderful private pool and lots of fans to help with the heat. The wrap around balcony was perfect! The little private beach was wonderful! Would stay here again! Only thing I would say is air conditioning would have been nice, but the fans helped! Beautiful place!

The town is beautiful. The people are not very nice. You find rarely people who acknowledge or say hello. I wish I would’ve known you have to take a 40-50 min boat ride from another town to get here and the boat rides stop after a certain time which make it difficult if you have other activities. Also, there is nobody to show you around town. When you arrive someone who works for the place one is staying at should meet you and show you where to go and help with luggage. None of this happened. Also, I only saw 3 restaurants around the area we were in, and they were all very pricey. The beach was not very clean. There are a lot of rocks in the area. Doesn’t look or feel relaxing.

We LOVED our accommodations!
We LOVED our accommodations! Very clean, great location and FABULOUS view!!!! We ran out of water mid trip and called the host. She had fresh water delivered within 5 minutes. We had an amazing time in Yelapa. The food at the restaurants was 5 stars. There was hiking, beach activities, water boat excursions. We will return.

Get ready for donkeys, horses, cattle and dogs using the same thoroughfare as you are, along with motorcycles and quads. There are no cars or trucks, this is truly throwback; and, if you’re looking for that - you’ll find it in Yelapa. We ate at Los Abuelas our first night, delicious and with a good view. The second night we ate at Restaurant Bar Yelapa. This was a part of our hotel; Casa Choco and a very decent meal. We spent an entire day on the Beach at Tinos, where we had a beachfront umbrella with very comfortable layout chairs. Free if you buy a few drinks. Also ran into Sammy, apparently the greeter for the town. He remembered us from our first day there; Sammy wears a 49ers hat. In all we were pleasantly surprised with Yelapa.

Great small seaside town only accessible by small boat with some great restaurants and perfect to come for 10 to 14 days and bring a few books to read to relax by the sea. Its fun watching the Pelicans fish in the waters by our beach. There you can snorkel alongside the rocks on either side of the cove and see fish or even the odd swimming iguanas. Its a walking town with some small hills. Lots 4 wheel small ATV are now the family car and they have the pack mules (that are still used to move items). Quite often at day or night you will have people riding on mule/horse pass you, so watch where you step. Though they have a regular group of people who clean up the street pretty good that way, so it not a real issue. People are friendly and helpful and felt very safe in town.I was travelling with wife and teenage daughter.

Yelapa is a beautiful place that resides on a cove about a 45-minute boat ride from Puerto Vallarta. It's very small in that you can walk from one side of the cove to the other in under 45 minutes. There are multiple waterfall hikes, great local restaurants with freshly caught fish, a beautiful calm beach area for relaxing and swimming. Overall a great place to visit.

Yelapa is a wonderful small town with a lot of charm, great beach, and friendly atmosphere. It's a simple place, but if you like local experience and physical beauty, this is the spot you want to go to.
The living area, dining table and kitchen are on a terrace overlooking the Yelapa playa and bay. I enjoyed laying in the hammock, absorbing the sights and sounds of this tropical paradise that is so easily accessible from civilization. There are some bugs and lizards but that is part of the charm and not annoying. The same applies to the stray dogs around town. One cute pup (neutered) followed us around and it was hard to say goodbye when we boarded the water taxi.
This is a very cute place with a beautiful view, nice design, very well equipped, & and with a very sweet host. If you are looking for a nicer place in Yelapa, look no further. I would stay here again for sure.
