Location is great to get to see the main tourist attractions in Xilitla, most of them at walking distance.
The manager arranged a tour to the Sótano de las Golondrinas and Cascadas de Tamul. Very attentive and resourceful. Great if you hadn't anything planned ahead.
The "Enchiladas huastecas" at the restaurant are very good!

beautiful hotel, and I must say, it was an amazing experience! The ambiance was stunning, with tasteful decor and immaculate cleanliness throughout. True rainforest environment, and lovely mountains surrounding the town of Xilitla, exceeded my expectations. That town itself is run-down, without many restaurant options. So, staying outside of town near the Edward James gardens, really makes sense.

We were wondering whether we should visit Xilitla and now we are so glad we decided to go! Had a great time, would have regretted not going. Driving there and from is another experience, with winding roads in the mountains and beautiful scenery. Xilitla is a small but very busy village, with local food and very friendly people. Not too many tourists, amazing nature. The surrealist garden is also worth visiting.
Though small the room had all it needed. It was qiet and the air-conditioning worked efficiently and with virtually no noise. The bathroom had a good size. Above all the floors and everything else was absolutely clean! To even top it, the owner was very friendly and extremely helpful in any way. For example, when we needed cash he took us to every single ATM in Xilitla (as a hint: don't rely on ATMs in Xilitla, bring enough cash with you 😉)
The property has a beautiful terrace with a view on the surrounding mountains and jungle. It is right in the middle of Xilitla and about 30 minutes away from Edward James’ surrealist garden, 15 minutes from the cave El Salitre.
The staff (Carlos) were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful.
