Loved our stay! Omar and Astrid went above and beyond to look after us and give us tips. They bed was very comfortable, wifi was great and view was stunning. It's a short walk to town and I much preferred staying outside of the main town since it's a more chill vibe.

Our stay in San Mateo Río Hondo was magical from start to finish. The energy of the place was peaceful and uplifting, and our hosts, Marian, Ale, and Opy, made us feel like family from the moment we arrived. The food was a highlight, with everything harvested from their garden—a true luxury. Marian’s homemade pasta was outstanding (and as an Italian, I have high pasta standards). Ale’s shakshuka was the best I’ve ever had, and Opy’s tea with honey was simply divine. Every meal was a masterpiece, prepared with love and care.
The property itself was equally incredible, with breathtaking views and a beautifully decorated room complete with a cozy fireplace—perfect for cool evenings. The natural beauty and thoughtful details made every moment feel special.
