I like the quaintness of this hotel. It is close to the Malecón-but not walking distance. It is walking distance to manny and a few other restaurants. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The environment is relaxing-great sleep quality. The mixed drinks in the hot tub are excellent and reasonably priced.

We didn't like anything about this place. Not a family place that's for sure. Definitely needs some updates! The room smelled like an old man just left but sprayed his cologne everywhere beforehand.

Having vacationed there for 50+ years, we have trunks full of great family memories. The people are warm and happy to see you. Rodeo Drive takes care of your shopping, Old Port is the place for fresh seafood to grill. Blu Mar on Sandy Beach for high end Italian dining and JJs and Wrecked at the Reef for drinks, bands and sports watching. Sand rails, quads and horses are for rent. There’s even a Zip line and lots of fishing boat charters. Is an easy no hassle drive down and is known as the Arizona beach town.

We were prepared to venture off for food and drove into town to stock up on some common supplies. We were disappointed with the food at the resort itself not the greatest and overpriced. We enjoyed having gone during a slow time of year. There weren't too many people around or at the beach/pool areas Wednesday or Thursday. Then on Friday and Saturday more people arrived but it didn't feel overwhelming. I appreciated how clean everything is considering it is a small town. The beaches were clean, the water was clear and warm! We enjoyed the trip!

Beautiful private beach with clean facilities and great staff that make themselves available for any need you might have. Katrina is a top notch concierge and made the stay stress free and availed us to cruise options, on-site massages and had restaurant and site seeing location recommendations. They have a private lot, 6 studio rooms and 2 suites. All of which are literally right on the beach. Patios are amazing and the place is perfect for a quiet and private getaway.

The gulf of California is super clean and much warmer than the Pacific. Entirely different body of water and I once read that it's the second cleanest large body of water on Earth. They don't have industry, agriculture and very little population. Pleasant, quiet beaches. The water temp was perfect. Excellent seafood. Huge shrimp and fab flounder, etc, arrive into the port daily. You can get fab street food from cart vendors downtown or a 5 star gourmet restaurant. Plenty of great eateries. I got excellent dental care at a fraction of the US cost. Feels very safe in general. Nice people. You can stay in a glitzy tower, or humble local home and everything in between. The crossing at Lukeville rarely takes more than 5-10 minutes and the road is good. Coming home, I saw a free tourist highway assistance truck on the side of the highway. The California/Yuma crossing is much much busier and the road has a lot of potholes.

Rocky Point as it is known in the US, is a very nice place to go if you want to use your ATV or other type of off road vehicles. You can also use the beaches, as the locals are making them cleaner or going camping on your RV is also a nice thing to do. The rest of the place is Mexico as usual, some roads are still dirt like, the stop signs are hard to see so, drive slow if you don't want a citation, (Mordida) but, the food is very good, in most restaurants or at any hole in the wall places. The location of the Hotels is great but, getting to them is a bit crazy, I wish all the Hotels and the local government would invest in making the roads much better to drive and better lighting.

First time vacationing there.
First time vacationing there. It was great I have been other places many time over the years. But never been to Puerto Penasco. Reminded me of the Mexico from when we started going years ago. The people were so friendly everywhere we went.

The attention was amazing. We wanted a room a little bit closer to the beach and they did what they could to help us have the best time there. Additionally, after our check out, we had an accident on the road to Mexicali and they were really helpful by providing us several options of towing companies in Puerto Peñasco. We are so grateful for what they did. I recommend a lot to stay there.
The breakfast is omelette or scrambled or over easy eggs. The buffet has chilly meat, chiqillas, yogurt, fruit, fruit drinks, coffee, and other Mexican food items. It cost $14 all inclusive buffet. The restaurant staff provide great customer service.
