The whole staff was very kind! The breakfast is amazing and the room with the view on the giant tree in the yard is beautiful! We went on a round trip from Puerto Morelos - Playa del Carmen - Tulum - Valladolid and wanted to find a place in Cancun, but decided to go back to Puerto Morelos because of this hotel.

The location is fine as long as you are willing to cycle into Puerto Morelos, this is very much 'Downtown' but with the use of the free bikes, a gentle 20 minute cycle gets you into Puerto Morelos and the beach. The hotel allows you to use the bikes free of charge which is great. Overall, if you didn't have the issue of the noise in the rooms, the hotel is fine, clean, tidy and the staff are friendly and the use of the bikes for free is very good. But if you cannot sleep, then you get very grumpy and that's not what you want on Holiday!!

It is still a beautiful little town growing fast due to the influx of retirees moving there. Port side is still lovely but change is inevitable.

The registering took way too long.
The registering took way too long. We made several attempts to contact Booking.com and Puerto Morelos Resort and were never successful in talking to anyone. We wanted to make sure that everything was correct in the reservation for the six suites. I believe the problem started with Booking.com in booking us with Puerto Morelos Resort incorrectly. The registration got all the family members in the correct suites. It just took a very long time.

Very quiet in low season (July) but convenient for snorkeling tours, and shops and some excellent restaurants were still open. Favorite restaurants were El Merkadito, La Pepita, and Boquinete. OmDelfin dive shop provided an excellent snorkeling tour at a great price, and due to its location by a hotel, was able to allow us to try out the snorkel gear in the hotel pool first to get comfortable with it.

Puerto Morelos is a small yet vibrant town with heaps of options for everyone, from families of all sizes and ages to singles or couples who want to party or have a great time by the beach. Almost same distance from Cancun and Playa del Carmen, close to the route of the Cenotes and Super Markets.
Cultural events happening very often at the main plaza and they have a few local markets to go to and enjoy some souvenir shopping. Amazing food EVERYWHERE!

Loved it when we started going to shop there from an all inclusive more than 10 years ago. So started staying there instead. First couple years were great. Then COVID for 2 years. Since then we have been going usually twice year. But this time (April 2024) noticed how it’s gone from laidback, mostly authentic town to tourist centered with a lot of building. Used to have building rules that no higher than 3 stories. That has definitely either changed or been ignored. Still nice place, just changing into a smaller (so far) of Playa del Carmen.

Puerto Morelos is a hidden gem!
Puerto Morelos is a hidden gem! Very clean, quaint and relaxed! The beach area is pristine and the water is exactly that Caribbean azure blue green! There's lots going on but it doesn't seem busy. Very chill - happy vibes! Gorgeous sunshine and a warm breeze! Tons of choice for food and drink, tours, and necessities. Pretty perfect!

Room was great for 3 people. First floor with hammocks outside, very private and quiet. Ability to use kitchen was a bonus as we could store mangos and rum there. Bikes available for guest use were old but great fun. Walkable to bars and restaurants along quiet road. Hotels further from town were less accessible. If you want a fancy all inclusive resort feel don't stay here- this place is chilled, friendly and feels a lot more authentic than others along this stretch of coast.
The perfect casita (cabin) right on the beach. It is a dream location. Swimming and snorkeling right from the beach infront of the casita. Having an outside shower, plus two full bathrooms, was really useful. Almira was wonderful. She was quick to respond whenever we had a question. We appreciated that she arranged transfers for us to and from the casita. The kitchen was well stocked, the air conditioning and wifi worked well.
We will be back!
The location was a short walk to a lovely beach. The Paradise Beach club is directly behind on the beach and your can use free chairs and tables there is you order something to eat or drink. There was no breakfast at the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is onsite free parking and free beach towels that you can use with a deposit down. The two bedrooms were comfortable although the second room had two much smaller beds.
Well here it is. The last unmolested piece of Puerto Morelos....
This is a gorgeous place to stay - right on the beach with the wind blowing through the window.
Fairly basic rooms but the location is prime.
You need a bike to get in and out of town - Green Bikes are great the owner will drop them to you.
I could have stayed here forever.
